Two Friends in the Desert (Folk Tales)

author:Yiyan boutique

There is an Arabic legend: two friends travel in the desert, and during the journey they quarrel over a small matter, and one of them slaps the other.

The beaten man felt deeply humiliated, walked outside the tent, and wrote on the sand without a word: "Today my good friend slapped me." ”

They continued on their way to an oasis, stopping to drink water and take a bath. At the riverside, the man who had been slapped almost drowned, but was fortunately rescued by a friend.

After being rescued, he took a small sword and carved it on the stone: "Today my good friend saved my life." His friend asked curiously, "Why did you write on the sand after I beat you, but now you have to carve it in stone?" ”

He replied with a smile: "When hurt by a friend, write it in a forgetful place, and the wind will be responsible for erasing it; on the contrary, if it is helped, we will engrave it in the depths of the soul, where no wind can erase it." ”

The hurt of a true friend may be unintentional, but the help is genuine, forget the unintentional hurt, remember the true help to you, you will find that there are more and more sincere friends in this world.
