At the award ceremony, Huang Yong, associate professor of the School of Letters of Jinan University, read out the overall evaluation opinions of the essay collection activity. He introduced that the event received nearly 1,000 manuscripts, and among the participants were students from key universities Chinese departments in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and other cities, as well as students from other professional disciplines in Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Guizhou and other provinces.
Among them, a total of 106 articles entered the final evaluation, including 56 in the undergraduate group and 50 in the graduate group, showing the concern and cognition of college students for current literature.
The entries cover new literary works published from 2020 to 2021, including comments on new works by famous artists such as Mo Yan's "Late Ripening Man", Yu Hua's "Wencheng", Li Zishu (Malaysian Chinese Writers) "Liu Xiandi", and also pay attention to the new works of young writers such as Chen Chuncheng, Ban Yu, Lu Nei, wang Zhanhei, etc., showing the diverse and open aesthetic tastes and new expression styles of the new generation of college students.

The organizing committee of the award conducted anonymous preliminary and final evaluation of the manuscripts, and conducted a strict review of the authors and works qualifications, and finally selected 38 award-winning works.
Wang Qiushi of Lanzhou University and Zhu Xiao of Jinan University won the special prize of the graduate group and the undergraduate group respectively, 10 authors such as Wang Zhenfeng (Nanjing University) won the first prize, 10 authors such as Chen Shuyao (Chongqing University) won the second prize, and 16 authors such as Li Yuxuan (Peking University) won the third prize.

In the view of Li Denan, vice chairman of the Guangzhou Literary and Art Critics Association, text is a way to lead us into the historical scene, and placing the text in a specific context and examining the relationship between the text and the context can help researchers to explore the ideological culture presented behind the text.
