On November 29, Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo accompanied Serbian President Vucic to the groundbreaking ceremony of the Upper Miranovac Ring Road, and then went to inspect the construction site of the Prelina-Pojega section of the Miloš Grand Duke Highway. Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Cyprus, Mr. Momirovic, and others attended the event.
Vucic thanked the Chinese side for its continued support for Serbia's development and said that both projects will significantly improve local transportation conditions, enhance regional connectivity, help facilitate people's lives, improve the investment environment, and be of great significance to Serbia's economic development. It is these construction sites that paint a beautiful picture of the rapid development of The Seych, which is moving towards the future with a fast and powerful pace, and no one can stop it.
Chen Bo said that Chinese enterprises have contributed to the economic development and improvement of people's livelihood in Cyprus, and more and more Cypriot people have truly felt the results of Sino-Cypriot cooperation. Chinese project builders have overcome difficulties and made every effort to promote the construction of the project, believing that with the support of Serbian partners, Chinese enterprises will successfully complete the project construction and deliver satisfactory answers.
The Upper Miranovac Ring Road was built by China Power Construction Corporation, with a total length of 9.4 kilometers. The Prelina-Pojega Expressway, built by CCCC, with a total length of about 30 kilometers, is the most difficult section of the Miloš Grand Duke Expressway, including 12 kilometers of tunnels and more than 30 bridges, of which the Prelina-Pavolache section is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of this year.
