Violent looting of New York landmarks led to looting of a total of $4,300 in valuables

Police are looking for robbers in a violent robbery at Hudson Yards, a landmark in New York, last month, and need public knowledge to report it.

On Saturday night, the NYPD released surveillance images of the robbers of the robbery, which occurred at 12:15 a.m. on Oct. 29 in front of an apartment building at 505 West 37th St., amny reported.

According to law enforcement, the robbers ambushed the 26-year-old man as he walked through the area, walked up to him from behind and hit him in the back of the head with a blunt object.

The robbers then pointed a gun at the man and demanded all his belongings, police said. He then pushed the victim onto the sidewalk and forcibly removed the victim's laptop, mobile phone, gold chain, car keys and wallet containing cash and credit cards. Eventually, the robbers fled the scene with the man's possessions totaling about $4,300.

Authorities noted that the robbers later used one of the man's credit cards to purchase $60 worth of goods from a nearby store.

Police from Substation 10 arrived at the scene after the incident. The victim was treated at Sinai Shanxi Hospital with lacerations and bruises on the head and face.

Police said the suspect was a medium-skinned man who last appeared wearing a coloured jacket, a dark Boston Red Sox hat, a light blue surgical mask, blue jeans and red Vans sneakers. (Original title: Violent robbery at a New York landmark, robbers loot a total of $4300 in valuables)
