According to the Great Sage's six-character commentary, Han Xinzhan was a four-star general with the words "knowledge, ability, skill, and wonder"
The six-star criteria of the Great Sage Judge: righteousness, knowledge, ability, merit, wonder, and wisdom. Righteousness is the great benevolence and righteousness of the world, and the fight for the righteousness and goodness of the world. Knowing is knowing that soldiers understand soldiers and win the hearts of the army. To be able is to be strategic and strategic to be decisive. Merit means that it can fight and can overcome battle merit. Odd is surprising and winning has a classic. Wisdom means foresight to achieve a good death.
Han Xin
Righteousness (The Great War of Chu and Han cannot be described as righteous)
Know ★ (you can win a battle with any army at any time)
Can ★ (from strategy to tactics are superior)
Meritorious service ★ (for Liu Bang's great cause of military merit is second to none)
Qi ★ (The Battle of Zhao is a classic of military history)
Hui (foolish when controlling one's own destiny)
Without Han Xin, Liu Bang would at least have to grope in the dark for many years. It is unlikely that the world will be won in such a short period of time. Of course, Xiang Yu couldn't sit firmly in the world. The chaos of fighting, killing and killing will last for many years.
Han Xin first formulated a comprehensive strategic plan for Liu Bang. Ming Xiu Zhan Dao, Darkness Chen Cang, out of Hanzhong and fight for the world. Later, Liu Bang's entire grand strategy was completely designed according to Han Xin's design. There was nothing wrong with Zhang Liang.
At the same time, Han Xin greatly destroyed the Chu army, pacified the State of Wei, attacked the State of Dai, destroyed the State of Zhao, surrendered the State of Yan without a fight, and quickly took the entire State of Qi, annihilating the dragon and aiding the 200,000 Chu army in a battle. Together with Peng Yue and other divisions, they surrounded and annihilated the Chu army.
Han Xin always led the weakest and weakest army and fought the hardest battle. Han Xin always succeeded in a battle without dragging mud and water. In terms of generals and achievements, Han Xin was called a god by future generations, and deservedly deserved it.
But looking at Han Xin's later fate, I can't help but make people feel a lot of confusion.
Did Han Xin rebel later? Was Han Xin killed unjustly? This is something that has been debated in history for many years. According to the Chronicle of the Marquis of Huaiyin, before and after Chen Fengbai was guarding Julu, Han Xin did indeed plot rebellion. Later, he was taken down by Lü Hou with a small deception and was exterminated by the three tribes. When you are young, you would rather suffer the humiliation of your subordinates than draw your sword and be happy, how can you bear it? In Hanzhong, how far-sighted was Liu Bang's analysis of the general trend of the world and his strategy for marching? How wise is the decision to unify the army's attack and victory in the battle? But how could he have seen that, just like others had predicted for him, since the destruction of Xiang Yu, the king of Qi, the king of Chu, then the king of Chu, then the marquis of Huaiyin, and then the disgrace of the three tribes, without any foresight and self-protection ability? Some people always compare the later Lin Biao to Han Xin, and there are indeed similarities, that is, the contrast between the great wisdom and courage in the early stage and the dimwitted in the later period is too great.
It can be seen from the "Biography of the Marquis of Huaiyin" that after Liu Bang reused Han Xin and defeated Hanzhong from his strategy, for most of the time, he always had an attitude of having to reuse Han Xin and being dissatisfied with the unbelief.
When Han Xin's army led by Chen Yu, the Emperor of Anjun, was shocked by the world, Liu Bang was first besieged by Xingyang and then trapped in Chenggao, and only one person followed after the emperor escaped. Running to Han Xin's garrison, he seized Han Xin's seal letter, soldiers, and the army he commanded in Han Xin's bedroom, and asked him to collect other troops of the Zhao state to attack the state of Qi. After Han Xin broke the dragon and pacified the State of Qi, he wrote to Liu Bang saying: The State of Qi... Without the establishment of a temporary acting Wang Lai to calm down, the situation will certainly not be stable. After receiving the book, Liu Bang said angrily: I am besieged here, day and night waiting for you to help me, but you want to establish yourself as king! After being trampled by Zhang Liang, he immediately changed his mouth: The eldest husband has decided to be a prince, and he should be serious, and what agent should he be? In just one scene, Han's dissatisfaction and disbelief are clear at a glance.
From Liu Bang's point of view, this kind of dissatisfaction and unbelief is very normal. At the moment of the strategic decisive battle between Liu Bang and Xiang Yu, he agreed with Han Xin, Peng Yue and other major generals on the time of the general attack, but Han Xin peng Yue did not arrive on time, so Xiang Yu defeated Liu Bang. Liu Bang hurriedly retreated to the defense, unable to do anything. Zhang Liang said: Xiang Yu is about to be defeated, and Han Xin and Peng Yue have not yet been given the territory of the seal, so they will definitely not come. If you make a wish to share the world with them, give Han Xin the place where Chen County goes east to the seashore, and give Peng Yue the place north of Suiyang to Gucheng, they will definitely come. Liu Bang grabbed the medicine according to Fang, and Han Xin Peng Yue did indeed lead a large army to arrive, and destroyed Xiang Yu in one fell swoop in a big decisive battle. At this time, it is conceivable that Liu Bang's dissatisfaction with Han Xin has reached an extent.
For Han Xin, it can be asserted that he is not a loyal minister, the distinction between him and Liu Bang's subjects has long been determined, and in traditional culture, how the subject should be loyal to the king, he will not be unaware, he is arrogant and arrogant, he is not wholehearted, and the final result is actually predestined.
From another point of view, although Han Xin is not a great loyal, he is not a big traitor. When Han Xinwei was shaking the world, his old master Xiang Yu sent Wu Shi to lobby him: Liu Bang fell into the hands of King Xiang several times, and King Xiang took pity on him and let him survive, but every time he escaped, he betrayed his faith and attacked King Xiang again, and he could not be trusted. Now although you think that you have a good friendship with the King of Han and do your best to use troops for it, you will eventually be captured by him. The reason why you are still here is because King Xiang is still alive. Now if you throw it right, Han Wang wins, and if you throw it left, Xiang Wang wins. King Xiang died today, and the King of Han took the foot down. Why don't you divide the world instead of attacking King Xiang? Han Xin's answer was: When I followed King Xiang, the official was not langzhong, the position was not stubborn, he did not listen, and he did not use the painting. After following the King of Han, the King of Han gave me the seal of the General, gave me tens of thousands of people, gave me his clothes to wear, took his food for me to eat, and listened to his words, so I have today. Others believe in me, and my betrayal is not auspicious, so I will not change when I die.
In order to persuade him, Han Xin's adviser Pu Tong went from face to face, saying: "The face of the king, but the marquis, and the danger is uneasy." The back of the king, the noble is indescribable. Then from Zhang Er Chen Yu to Wen Zhong, it is said that Zhang Er Chen Yu and Chen Yu were originally brothers in life and death, but later they became mortal enemies who did not share the heavens, why? Suffering is born of many desires and unpredictable hearts. Now your friendship with the King of Han is far less than that of Zhang Er and Chen Yu at that time, but the matter between you is far greater than that of Zhang Chen, so it is too unreliable for you to conclude that the King of Han will not harm you in the future. Saying that the literature is the great merit of the Yue state in the end, you, as a loyal subject, how can you not surpass the literature, right? Finally, he said: Your current merit strategy, unparalleled in the world, the great merit that cannot be rewarded, wearing the power of the Lord of Shock, throwing Xiang Yu, Xiang Yu will not trust you, throwing in the Han King, the Han King is afraid of you. The position of the subject of the people, but has the name of the high world, how dangerous, ah, "The Biography of the Hanshu Ku wu jiang shifu".
Pu Tong said so much, in short, the opposite is rich and safe, and if it is not reversed, life is worrying. However, Han Xin still remembered Liu Bang's kindness to him, refused to divide the world, and insisted on attacking Xiang Yu more than once. Of course, it may also be that Han Xin judged the situation and held up the time when the time was not ripe? Because Liu Bang's vigilance against Han Xin was also meticulous, he had always been accompanied by Liu Bang's close generals, such as Zhang Er.
Today, it seems that Wu Shi Pu Tong is simply a divine calculation, and everything that follows is exactly the same as predicted by Wu Shi Pu Tong and others, Xiang Yu perished in front and Han Xin died in the back.
The "Chronicle of the Marquis of Huaiyin" wrote such a story: After Han Xin was demoted to the Marquis of Huaiyin, he complained day and night, was sullen at home, and was ashamed to be on the same footing as zhou bo and douba, and other famous generals. Han Xin once visited Fan Duo's house, and Fan Duo knelt down to greet him, calling himself a courtier. He said: The king was able to come to the house of his courtiers. Han Xin went out laughing and said, "In my life, I have been in the company of someone like Fan Duo." It can be seen from this that, first: Han Xin's military talent is really too amazing, and second: he is really an ordinary person. Thinking of that Fan, there was courage and strategy at the Hongmen Banquet, saving Liu Bang from returning to the camp, a famous general with extraordinary courage, and Liu Bang's brother-in-law, but he was so respectful to Han Xin. And Han Xin's feelings after going out were too unkind. It is hard to believe that he was the one who voluntarily suffered the humiliation of his crotch.
The thing is, if Han Xin is indeed a loyal person, acting in line with the righteousness of the king and the subject, then with his merits, he really deserves the glory of Jiang Ziya. If he is a traitor, does not care about the kindness given to him by Liu Bang, and divides the world with Liu and Xiang, then not only will his fate be rewritten, but China's fate may also be another matter. But he is indeed an ordinary person, but he has earth-shattering talents. The last tragic fate is hard to escape.
Ordinary people have ordinary talents to enjoy peace, very people have extraordinary talents to change the world, very people have ordinary talents are model workers or villains in the crowd, and ordinary people have extraordinary talents that are Han Xin. The fate of man is, in general, the result of the configuration of talent and character.
Hong Mai sighed from Han Xin's point of view in "Rong Zhai Essays", saying: Han Gaozu appointed Han Xin as a general, but used deception against him three times: After Han Xin pacified Zhao Di, Gao Zu crossed the Yellow River from Chenggao, and early in the morning claimed that the envoy of the King of Han was galloping into Han Xin's military camp, Han Xin had not yet gotten up, went into his bedroom to collect his seal letter festival, summoned the generals with the banner of the general, and changed their positions; after Xiang Yu's death, he once again used a surprise attack to collect Han Xin's military power; and finally captured Han Xin under the pretext of touring Yunmeng. With the identity of an open-minded and generous founding monarch, han xin finally plotted a rebellion, and it seems that there is a reason for this idea.
In the Zizhi Tongjian, Sima Guang's statement is Liu Bang's position: some people in the world believe that Han Xin first laid the business plan for Han Gaozu, and the reason why the Han Dynasty can get the world is roughly due to Han Xin. Look at his refusal to accept Qu Tong's suggestion and greet Gao Zu in Chen Di, where is the rebellious heart! It was really because of the unhappiness after losing the power of the princes that they fell into a great rebellion. Lu Xie only had the friendship of Gao Zuli's old neighbors, and he was crowned the King of Yan, while Han Xin was invited by the court as a marquis; didn't Gao Zu also have a place to treat Han Xin badly? I think that Han Gaozu used fraudulent means to capture Han Xin in Chen Di, saying that he had treated Han Xin badly; however, Han Xin also had something to blame for himself. At first, the King of Han and the King of Chu fought each other in Xingyang, and Han Xin destroyed the State of Qi, but instead of reporting to the King of Han, he established himself as king; after that, the King of Han pursued the King of Chu to Guling and agreed with Han Xin to jointly attack the King of Chu, and Han Xin did not move; at that time, Gao Zu already had the idea of killing Han Xin, but the strength was not yet able to do it. When the world has been settled, what else does Han Xin have to rely on! Seizing the opportunity to seek profits is the ambition of the little people in the city; establishing great merit to repay kindness is the mind of a learned and virtuous person. Isn't it too difficult for Han Credit to seek benefits for himself, and ask others to return with the mind of a gentleman!
Therefore, Ma Qian of Taishi Company commented: "If Han Xin were to learn the way of the monarch, be humble and courteous, not boast of his own merits, and not hold on to his talents, the situation would probably be different!" His exploits to the Han family can be compared with those of Zhou Gong, Zhao Gong, Taigong Lü Shang, and others, and future generations can also enjoy sacrifices! Instead of doing this, he plotted rebellion and was beheaded by the clan when the world was already determined, wasn't it natural! ”
