On April 4, 1948, due to the betrayal of traitors, Xu Jianye was unfortunately arrested during the secret connection of the Ciqikou Tea House in Chongqing, and was imprisoned in Baigongguan and Zhazhidong Prison. In prison, he survived countless severe tortures, resisted coercion and inducement, and smashed the enemy's plan to sabotage the CCP's underground party organization in Chongqing and extinguish the flames of the huaying mountain armed uprising. On July 22, 1948, Xu Jianye was escorted to the Daping Execution Ground in Chongqing and generously committed righteousness at the age of 28.
