On the evening of November 6th, the modern opera "Li Lin", created by the Zhangzhou Gezai Opera (Qian Opera) Heritage and Protection Center of Zhangzhou City and the Zhangzhou Drama Research Institute, was successfully premiered at the People's Theater of the city. Wu Weihong, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal CPC Committee, director of the Propaganda Department, and director of the United Front Work Department, relatives of Li Lin, enthusiastic propagandists of Li Lin's deeds, authors of "Young Li Lin," and people from all walks of life attended the ceremony.
Li Lin, a native of Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, joined the revolution in 1936 and died on April 26, 1940 in Pinglu District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. She was the only overseas Chinese anti-Japanese heroine in the country, and was praised by Zhou Enlai as "China's Zhende", and He Long also praised her as "our heroine". Since 2009, he has been selected as one of the "100 Heroic And Exemplary Figures Who Made Outstanding Contributions to the Founding of New China" and the "Directory of 300 Famous Anti-Japanese Heroes and Heroic Groups", and is one of the revolutionary heroes on the "Memorial Wall" at the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China.
The drama mainly tells the story of Li Lin, who was born in Zhangzhou, from going abroad to returning to China to participate in the revolution, not letting the organization take care of her because of her status as an overseas Chinese woman, willing to fight in blood and dye clothes, and never destroying the oath of the Wokou. She attacked the enemy's strongholds at night, intelligently bombed the arsenal, galloped north of the wild goose, threatened the enemy's guts, and formed a military-civilian relationship with the people in a difficult battle, and harvested her own war and fire love. At the critical juncture of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Li Lin resolutely stood at the forefront of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in disregard of his personal interests and safety, covering the retreat of his troops in the rain of bullets and bullets from the enemy, and finally sacrificing his life at the age of 25.
On the stage, through exquisite performances, the actor vividly restored the heroic deeds of "sacrificing the small self for the big self" before Li Lin's sacrifice, the history is true, the plot is touching, the character shaping is profound and delicate, plump and touching, showing Li Lin's loyalty, courage and sincere patriotism. It was warmly applauded by the audience.
