Wang Xianzhi (344-386), courtesy name Zijing, was the seventh son of Wang Xizhi. Because of his outstanding calligraphy, he has always been called "Two Kings" with Wang Xizhi, or "Little Sage". Guanzhi Zhongshu Ling, known as Zhongshu Ling. Wang Xianzhi served as the governor of the prefecture, secretary Lang, secretary Cheng, Changshi, Wuxing Taishou and other official positions; after becoming Emperor Jianwen's horse, he was promoted to Zhongshu Ling (equivalent to the prime minister). But his political achievements are average, far less prominent than the title of his book.

Wang Xianzhi was born in such a family, his father was a well-known "book saint", his mother and uncle, grandparents, and brothers were all calligraphers, and it was inevitable that they would learn from an early age. He is more diligent than others, more diligent in learning calligraphy, more dedicated, and his temperament is also quite fatherly.

Wang Xianzhi's calligraphy art is mainly to inherit the family law, but it does not stick to the rules, but has made another breakthrough. In his calligraphy works, it is not difficult to see his inheritance of family learning and his own traces of another way. Predecessors commented that Wang Xianzhi's calligraphy was "Danxue Phoenix Dance, Qingquan Dragon Leap." Precision and ingenuity". His pen changed from "inward expansion" to "outer expansion".

His cursive writing is even more praised. Yu Zhuo once said: "Cursive writing descended from Han ZhangZhi, and the mysterious person and the divine character are only one official slave." "His heirloom cursive ink treasures include "Duck Head Pill Thesis", "Mid-Autumn Festival", etc., all of which are Tang facsimiles, and his "Duck Head Pill Thesis", Xingcao, a total of fifteen characters, silk. Wu Qizhen of the Qing Dynasty praised this post in the "Book of Calligraphy and Painting", saying: "(This post) calligraphy is elegant, majestic, natural and interesting, and it is a supreme god. "His "Mid-Autumn Festival" line grass, a total of twenty-two words, the spirit is as new, Kataba Yoshimitsu, rare in the world. The Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty included it in the "Three Xi Ti" and regarded it as a "national treasure".

He also created the "One Stroke Book", changing the grass that was not connected above and below his father into a connected grass, often a coherent number, which was valued by the world because of the grandeur of his calligraphy.

Like his father, Wang Xianzhi's study was not limited to learning one discipline, but was poor to all families. Therefore, on the basis of "combining the strengths of all families and the beauty of all bodies", we can create our own unique style. Finally achieved the artistic status alongside Wang Xizhi. The handwriting includes Song Mi's "Mid-Autumn Festival" and so on.

In the century and a half from the end of the Jin Dynasty to the Liang Dynasty, his influence even surpassed that of his father Wang Xizhi. It was not until the Tang Dynasty, when Emperor Taizong tried his best to praise Wang Xizhi and belittle Wang Xianzhi, that some calligraphy critics began to think that Wang Xianzhi's calligraphy was inferior to that of his father, Wang Xizhi. However, the Song Dynasty calligrapher Mi Fu mainly learned from Wang Xianzhi. The famous modern scholar and calligrapher Hu Xiaoshi believes that the "wild grass" of Zhang Xu and Huai Su's school was developed from Wang Xianzhi's cursive writing.
