For a long time, Zhang Xiaoyan has been committed to the public welfare cause of caring for rural left-behind children, and in 2016, she self-raised 100,000 yuan to establish the Future Star Left-behind Children's Home, and built the first social organization in Minle County to care for left-behind children as the main group, caring for more than 1,200 left-behind children and hosting 82 left-behind children. In order to make up for this deficiency, let the left-behind children live under the same blue sky as other children, share a piece of sunshine of family education, but also so that these parents who cannot take care of their children can work in the distance with peace of mind and make money with peace of mind, in April 2016, she self-financed the second floor of the Liuba Village Committee, carefully planned to set up the "Liuba Town Left-behind Children's Home", built a platform for social communication and interaction with children's hearts, cared for more than 1,200 left-behind children, and hosted 82 left-behind children. The children's home has a library reading room, an assignment counseling room, a psychological counselor, a family corner, a music room, and a kitchen. In view of the difficulties of left-behind children in remote villages in attending school, dormitories for men and women have been set up, and there are duty rooms outside, accompanied by special personnel to ensure the safety of left-behind children. In order to enrich children's lives and stimulate children's potential, specially hired professional teachers have been hired to carry out activities such as gourd silk, electronic organ, dance, painting and other artistic activities for left-behind children, and the orderly development of various cultural and sports activities has made the left-behind children's home truly become a home for left-behind children who are willing to enter, love to play, and enjoy learning.
Treat yourself as your own son, the sunshine of love
With the support and help of the Civil Affairs Bureau of Minle County, the County Political and Legal Committee, the Youth League County Committee, the Women's Federation and other departments and the Liuba Town Government, Zhang Xiaoyan actively explored a new model of care for left-behind children in rural areas, adopted the parent entrusted management system, and carried out all-round care and management of the study, life, and personality of left-behind children. Zhang Xiaoyan raised more than 300,000 yuan to carefully build a 2,000-square-meter "Minle County Future Star Child Care Center" in the county child welfare center built by the county civil affairs bureau, recruiting 6 teachers and training 2 social workers to care for orphans in the county, children in distress and left-behind children in the five villages around the flood town and urban areas. She led the staff to go to the village, investigate and visit, visit more than 80 administrative villages, file more than 300 children in distress, establish a long-term mechanism, regularly track maintenance, help and care, and actively link social love resources to give them the help they can, and the total amount of scholarships and love funds and materials reached more than 2 million yuan. At the same time, through project release, project application and other forms, in conjunction with a number of caring enterprises and caring people, a total of 34,000 yuan has been distributed to 61 children in distress in our county. In conjunction with the Hexi College Youth Volunteer Association, a series of social practice activities such as long-term learning and education, interest and specialty cultivation, family companionship, and psychological comfort are carried out for the children who receive love and support.
