Before the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Tomoi Koyama filed for divorce and demanded compensation on the grounds that her husband had an affair and was abused, and the Osaka High Court awarded her 6.5 million yen in compensation. Faced with the betrayal in her feelings, she resolutely decided to divorce her Japanese husband. Today, Tomori Koyama has been divorced from her Japanese husband for nearly 20 years, and she is childless at the age of 56.
