Folk jokes say: "Mr. Dongxin is too terrible, if he is a salt merchant, other salt merchants can only be pants!" Then the people will have a good life! ”

The "weird coffee" Jinnong never uses the rich and the poor to take people. The poor are grateful for his charity, but they cannot understand the lonely mood in his paintings and calligraphy; the rich revere the pride in his paintings and do not hesitate to spend thousands of dollars. Salt merchants in Yangzhou often organize poetry and wine parties, and Jinnong is often honored as the most honored guest.
The righteous Jinnong knew that this was the routine of the salt merchants to pull together gangs and squeeze the newcomers and then persuade them to surrender, and each time he scratched his pigtails while sipping small wine, carefully observing the salt merchants' every move, ready to help the vulnerable newcomers in due course.

Exploring Jinnong's "weirdness", we have to marvel that Jinnong has a position pattern that is much higher than any giant merchant Fujia's father: his father knows that instead of giving Jinnong a million family wealth, it is better to let him read ten thousand books of poetry. So he allowed Jinnong to travel and dabble in many "useless things", as long as Jinnong did not violate chivalrous morality, his father would always be Jinnong's strongest economic and spiritual supporter.
Finally, when Jinnong was fifty years old, he felt that even if his father did not ask for it, he had to give an account to the old man. Jinnong, who had been wild for most of his life, finally made up his mind and prepared for the most sure opportunity in his life: erudite Hongxue.
He had just trekked thousands of miles through the mountains and rivers, and was shocked to learn that the Yongzheng Emperor had died, and the Qianlong New Deal no longer attached importance to this examination!
Jinnong did not say a word, and struggled to use his original lacquer book to write down thick and heavy "or not" on the review materials prepared for many years, and then burned it!

On the occasion of the examination in the north, Jin Nong deeply inspected the calligraphy and painting works of the court painters and the works of the "Four Kings" in the early Qing Dynasty, and he could not help but sigh: the volume is full of spring, but it is full of senseless noise, how there is no moving place! Instead of letting the hustle and bustle of the world be filled with false spring feelings, it is better to let the old man use this real winter heart to return the world to a purity!

Since then, Jinnong has settled in Yangzhou, carefully planting bamboo and plum blossoms, observing day and night, and repeatedly sketching. From the beginning of sketching, to the later realm of all-encompassing paintings: in Jinnong's self-portrait, he holds a rattan battle in his hand, slowly steps on his right foot, and the red shoes slightly exposed in the sleeves of his wide robe allude to his state of mind of "stepping through the red dust".
Looking back on his life, he knows that the blossoming spring is contrary to his lonely situation at this time, and Jin Nong vows to embrace a cold winter heart as an art. Jinnong's "Winter Heart" trumpet has spread far and wide since then!
Jin Nong, who had experienced the three dynasties of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong in his lifetime, once gave himself the nickname of "the old people of the three dynasties", and when "Theology" dominated the world, Jin Nong adhered to his simple and thick style of writing like a cold plum in the cold winter. Whether it is lishu, xingshu, calligraphy, lacquer calligraphy, Jinnong calligraphy shows the courage to challenge the tradition everywhere.
For the sake of Mingzhi, Jin Nong carved a seal for himself that "Dan Qing does not know that the old man is coming", but Jin Nong's "winter heart" is not to show an indifferent heart, and his "winter heart" has also been revived, and when he was sixty years old, Jin Nongna's twenty-year-old mute woman Meng Juan was a concubine. After the mute concubine became seriously ill, Jin Nong sympathized with the dumb concubine and arranged for her to go to her hometown in Hangzhou to recuperate, and the ancient hot sausage Jin Nong resumed his daily life of standing alone and hanging in the shadows.

In his later years, Jin Nong, with his lonely artistic persistence, earned a considerable income, but after experiencing the vicissitudes of the world, his loose and heroic personality made him often scatter thousands of gold! Finally, all four walls were empty and there was no money to be buried, and the "strange man" Jin Nong finally ended his "untimely" life because of his quirks about money!
In Yangzhou, where the rich and the rich are full of traffic, the coldness of Jinnong is the calm after the ups and downs of the rapids, the calm in the impetuousness, and the quietness of the party in the turbid world. It cools down all the conflicts such as restlessness, desire, and struggle in the heart, transcends from the suffering of reality, and communicates with the spirit of heaven and earth alone.

In this era full of all kinds of mediocre successes, the "failure" of the "strange man" Jinnong and the "indifference" and "quirks" of the pursuit of materials are just like the moonlight that Zeze is not succumbed to fame and fortune by all things, which is the most low-key and cold positive energy! And for all the seekers in the world, the enthusiasm for pursuing art and looking at the ups and downs of life with a cold eye is the greatest achievement in this life!
