During the Republic of China period, Shen Junru was also highly valued by all walks of life, and served as the general counselor of the Preparatory Office of the Zhejiang Consultative Bureau, the deputy speaker of the Zhejiang Provincial Consultative Bureau, and the supervisor of the Zhejiang Government Two-Level Normal School, and later Shen Junru also participated in the China League.
By the way, Shen Junru also once engaged in lawyer work, and was praised in the Shanghai legal circles for daring to uphold justice and not being afraid of the strong.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Shen Junru also made many achievements in China's anti-Japanese work, insisting on protracted resistance, adhering to domestic unity, opposing compromise and surrender; adhering to democracy, fighting for the people's right to democracy and freedom, opposing dictatorship, and so on, so that these acts were not tolerated by the Kuomintang, and later they were even more excluded by the Kuomintang.

Before the founding of the People's Republic of China, Shen Junru was invited by our party to attend the first plenary session of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, and was also elected as a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a member of the Central People's Government.
During the New China period, Shen Junru successively served as a member of the Central People's Government, president of the Supreme People's Court, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
For the children of Comrade Shen Junru, the descendants are also very excellent, let's say that the son-in-law Fan Changjiang, Fan Changjiang is the husband of his daughter Shen Pu, this Fan Changjiang is extremely not simple, in the early days he participated in the Anti-Japanese Salvation Movement, joined the Communist Party of China in 1939, and he was an outstanding leader in proletarian journalism, and later served as the editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency, the deputy director of the General Administration of Information, and the president of people's daily.
