In the past few days, the inspectors of the Jiaxing Municipal Love and Health Office have gone deep into many communities, units, buildings and other places in the city to visit mosquito breeding sites and secretly visit the mosquito control situation of various subjects.
The inspectors first secretly visited the urban wentao garden, Jindu Jingyuan, Chunxiaoyuan and other communities, and came to a major place where mosquitoes are easy to breed - the underground parking lot. In the collection well of the parking lot, the inspectors saw many small strips of small insects that were rapidly twisting, these were the mosquito larvae - the widows, some of which had become pupae. On the ceiling of the basement, there are many adult mosquitoes parked densely.
The inspectors then went to the underground parking lot of the Guangtong Building, and in the drainage canal of just four or five meters, no less than 200 mosquitoes were detected. In the yard of a unit in the city, inspectors also found many mosquito larvae in multiple potted trays and water tanks. In an auto repair shop in the north of the city, the pile of waste tires has become a hotbed for mosquitoes to grow. For places with high mosquito density and inadequate control, the next step will be to hand over and require rectification.
The main mosquito species in Jiaxing urban area are Culex pale and Aedes albopictus, and in rural areas, there are also Mosquito species such as Anopheles p. chinensis, Culex triscarpus-beaked Mosquito, and Mosquito harassment, among which the most aggressive is Aedes albopictus mosquito, and it is most likely to spread dengue fever, chikungunya and other diseases. Since mosquitoes are not only the vectors of multiple diseases, but also the peace of blood sucking and harassing people, the Municipal Patriotic Health Office recommends that various forms of patriotic health campaigns be carried out in various places to control the density of mosquito vectors and reduce the risk of local outbreaks of dengue fever.
01 Where are the main breeding grounds for mosquitoes?
Mosquitoes are completely metamorphosed insects, and their life history has four stages: eggs, larvae, pupae, and adult insects, of which the first three stages are inseparable from water, the eggs of mosquitoes hatch in water, and the larvae and pupae live in water. Therefore, in simple terms, all kinds of stagnant water is the main breeding ground for mosquitoes. Specifically, these include:

02 How to kill mosquitoes is the most scientific?
Li Yuefeng, a staff member of the Municipal Love and Health Office, said that in general, it only takes about a week to go from larva to adult mosquitoes, and adult mosquitoes can lay more than 200 eggs. In other words, to eliminate one mosquito is to eliminate hundreds of mosquitoes, and conversely, to condone the breeding of hundreds of mosquitoes. Because the first three stages of mosquitoes are inseparable from water, the key to killing mosquitoes is to clean up all kinds of stagnant water, and environmental treatment, chemical, physical and biological control can be adopted in the method.
1. Environmental governance. Environmental control is the prevention and avoidance of environmental remediation, including environmental modification, environmental treatment, and the improvement of human living conditions and habits to prevent or reduce the reproduction of mosquitoes or reduce human contact with vectors. Clear and destroy breeding sites, stuffing, drainage, isolate and close breeding sites.
2. Chemical control.
