To this end, Zhou Daxin chose the most common and complex "marriage" in the world as the theme of "Los Angeles Flowers", writing about Chinese love and marriage, and exploring the current situation of marriage of young people. He uses the "reality show" story, from the perspective of human feelings and law, through the faithful record of four trials, to unveil the veil of marriage, telling the big and small problems that a marriage may face.

"Los Angeles Flowers" is Zhou Daxin's tenth novel, and it is also the first work of his novel writing. Talking about the reasons, Zhou Daxin said that the physical requirements of novels are too high, "novel creation requires writers to surpass themselves. I'm almost 70 years old. At this age, my energy for writing is already limited. In the past, I had no problem writing for ten or eight hours a day, but now I feel very tired when I write for four hours. Zhou Daxin said that although he decided not to write a long novel because of physical reasons, his love for words is still the same, he will not stop writing, and will choose other genres such as prose and essays in the future, and may also regain the movie script that he liked to write when he was young.
