Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

author:Micro history spring and autumn

"With the multitude of talents from ancient and modern times, those who have not won the Three Kingdoms." Indeed, in the history of China, the Three Kingdoms period was full of talents, the crown of ancient and modern, which is one of the reasons why later generations were obsessed with the Three Kingdoms.

Among the many political groups in the three countries, each group has its own talents, or military generals, or civilian subjects. Like the military generals' sieges and battlefield battles, the civilian ministers of different camps have actual combat strategies and wonderful plans outside the battlefield, which are no less than the military generals charging on the battlefield. This group of courtiers had a common title in the Three Kingdoms, the Counselors, and their wisdom and scheming added a lot of charm to the Three Kingdoms.

Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

Among the many strategists of the Three Kingdoms, Li Ru was not a particularly well-known person, and his wisdom and achievements could not be compared with the well-known Zhuge Liang, Pang Tong, Guo Jia, Xun Yu and others, because he was a loser, and what he played on the stage of the Three Kingdoms was a tragedy.

Li Ru was one of the earliest of many strategists to "debut", and he was also the first strategist to take the center of the political stage. He was the first political force to appear in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the ace strategist of the Dong Zhuo clique, and from this point of view, he was the first real strategist in the Three Kingdoms.

Li Ru stepped onto the central political stage with Dong Zhuo, the leader of the political group to which he was attached, and he was at the center of the stage as soon as he came to the stage. At that time, He Jin summoned foreign soldiers into Beijing to kill the Ten Constant Attendants, and Shi Dongzhuo, who "often had the heart of disobedience", immediately led the troops to set out, and Li Ru, who was Dong Zhuo's son-in-law in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (he was Dong Zhuo's son-in-law in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and there is no such saying in the history), followed Dong Zhuo's army as a staff officer.

Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

He Jin summoned Dong Zhuo to Beijing, triggering Dong Zhuo's rebellion

As soon as Li Ru appeared on the scene, he settled the very important "name" problem of the teacher for Dong Zhuo: "Although I am commanded today, there are many secrets in the middle. Why not send people to the table, the name is justified, and the big things can be planned. Dong Zhuo, who was rude and had no great wisdom, also knew that He Jin's "secret edict" was a correction, so he was "very happy" with Li Ru's suggestion, and quickly expressed that he wanted to "please give up and wait" for sheji, and at the same time, the army rushed to Luoyang without stopping.

In the end, Dong Zhuo successfully entered the capital and seized the power of the imperial court as he wished. Dong Zhuo also continued to rely on Li Ru, and li Ru would consult Li Ru on major events or unresolved matters, and Li Ru was also willing to be the behind-the-scenes think tank of Dong Zhuo's clique, and did his best not to advise Dong Zhuo, and cleared all obstacles for Dong Zhuo to ascend to the peak of power: establishing a new king, killing The Young Emperor, seeing through Cao Cao's sword sacrifice plan, killing Yuan Shao's uncle Yuan Kui, etc., all of which reflectEdu's superiority.

Dong Zhuo, the leader of the Western Liang Army

When Dong Zhuo resisted the defeat of the Eighteenth Route princes, he offered a plan to move the capital, and in order to solve the problem of money and grain, he suggested that "there are many rich households in Luoyang, but they can not enter the customs", and for Yuan Shao and other eighteen-way princes under the Beijing Gate, it is "killing their clan party and raiding their families". Li Ru spared no effort to contribute to the Dong Zhuo Group, and also did a lot of immoral things, but these played an important role in safeguarding the interests of his camp.

In the entire Dong Zhuo clique, Li Ru is almost the only one with political vision. From the invasion of Luoyang to the relocation of the capital Chang'an, Li Ru's plans were all for the sake of dong Zhuo and the interests of the clique, and Li Ru's political vision could be seen from these plans. With wisdom and political vision, Li Ru had the necessary conditions for a first-class strategist.

After entering Luoyang, the first major thing Li Ru planned for Dong Zhuo was to abolish the Shao Emperor and sweep away the old forces in the imperial court that hindered the development of the Dong Zhuo clique; to establish a new political situation in the imperial court led by the Dong Zhuo clique.

Breaking the old and building the new is crucial to the survival, development and growth of any political group. When Dong Zhuo had the intention of abolishing the establishment, Li Ru, as a strategist, was very open to the situation in the government, "The current imperial court has no master, if you don't act at this time, there will be changes if you are late!" Li Ru knew that other foreign soldiers were also rushing to Luoyang, and Dong Zhuo had to gain a firm foothold before they entered Beijing, control the situation, and not "delay." He advised Dong Zhuo to seize the time to act "an authoritarian trip that is today", and drew up a plan of action for Dong Zhuo: "In the coming day, in the Wenming Garden, gather hundreds of officials and abolish them." There are those who do not follow it! Li Ru's political vision was fully displayed in this matter. Dong Zhuo was very appreciative of this strategist who always understood his intentions and always thought of himself, which is why Li Ru has long been highly valued by Dong Zhuo and regarded as a "confidant".

As for the abolition plan concerning the future of the Dong Zhuo clique, Li Ru can be said to have done his best, even at the expense of personally killing the deposed Shao Emperor, Empress He and Tang Concubine: "Ru was furious, grabbed the empress dowager with both hands, and went straight downstairs; the samurai hanged Tang Concubine; and killed the young emperor with wine." Under Li Ru's planning, the abolition plan was completed, and Dong Zhuo jumped from the Western Liang Thorn Shi who was on the political edge to the state minister, "Praise is not named, entering the dynasty is not trending, the sword is on the temple, Weifu Mobi." "The Dong Zhuo group fully grasped the power of the imperial court, history ushered in the era of Dong Zhuo, and Li Ru became one of the founders of this era.

The Eighteenth Route Princes crusaded against Dong Zhuo

The second major event li ru planned for Dong Zhuo was to move the capital—abandon Luoyang and move the capital to Chang'an. At that time, the eighteenth road princes formed an anti-Zhuo alliance and ran to Luoyang in a murderous spirit, which was unstoppable, and Li Ru suggested abandoning Luoyang and moving the capital to Chang'an. This proposal was affirmed by the group leader Dong Zhuo, but was opposed by the ministers. The reason for the objection is that Chang'an has been abandoned since the end of the Western Han Dynasty, "broken and scattered", and the relocation of the capital will also alarm the people. Of course, these opposing voices were weak in the face of Dong Zhuo's power, and the plan to move the capital proceeded as usual. However, in the process of moving the capital, the Dong Zhuo Group brought unprecedented disasters to Luoyang and the people in the city, such as extorting money and grain from rich households, forcibly driving people to move away, burning residents' houses, burning the Zongmiao Palace, etc., committing heinous crimes.

In the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Li Ru stills, a series of strategies show that he is a first-class strategist

These crimes in the relocation of the capital covered people's eyes and covered up the cleverness of Li Ru's strategy of moving the capital: the relocation of the capital Chang'an was only an appearance, and the focus was on "moving the emperor". Chang'an is close to Xiliang, the old lair of the Dong Zhuo clique, and "moving the emperor to Chang'an" is to enable the Dong Zhuo clique to continue to control the emperor and take charge of the imperial government. To put it bluntly, it was "holding the Son of Heaven hostage" that enabled dong Zhuo's clique to continue to gain political superiority in the subsequent political struggle, which was the same purpose as Cao Cao's later "moving the lucky Xu capital".

Moving the capital to Chang'an, dong zhuo's clique retreated in the face of the offensive of the eighteenth road princes, preserving its strength, and Dong Zhuo continued to run the imperial government in Chang'an, and its power was even greater. However, due to the lack of long-term development strategy of Dong Zhuo Group, after moving the capital to Chang'an, far away from the Central Plains, Dong Zhuo was more focused on making a fortune on the temple he controlled, "more arrogant", no longer enterprising, Dong Zhuo Group slowly faded out of the Central Plains in full swing of the competition for talents, multi-territory trend of the times, Dong Zhuo era is about to end.

Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

In the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", Li Ru stills, he dedicated himself to reconciling the contradiction between Dong Zhuo and Lü Bu

The master did not want to forge ahead, and Li Ru had no way. In the last days of Chang'an, Li Ru could only struggle in Wang Yun's "serial plan", constantly reconciling the contradiction between Dong Zhuo and Lü Bu around the mink cicada to prevent Dong Zhuo from planning.

Li Ru knew that dong zhuo group could not do without the brave Lü Bu, and also knew that Lü Bu was a person who betrayed his master and could change his mind at any time. Therefore, when Lü Bu was angrily denounced by Dong Zhuo as "Playing Wu Ai Ji", Li Ru suggested that Dong Zhuo "give him a golden veil and comfort him" to prevent Lü Bu from changing his mind and rebelling. Dong Zhuo adopted this suggestion. However, around the beautiful sable cicada, Dong Zhuo was no longer so obedient to Li Ru's advice. When Li Ru again advised Dong Zhuo to "give the cloth with cicadas" to completely win over Lü Bu, Dong Zhuo's performance at this time was "deep groaning for a long time", and finally said: "I should think about it." Before that, Dong Zhuo never hesitated for a moment about Li Ru's suggestion, and adopted it on the spot, but at this time he hesitated for a long time and had to "think about it", which was not a good sign.

Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

Sure enough, the tears of the marten cicada prompted Dong Zhuo to completely abandon this idea, not only that, but the marten cicada also took the opportunity to split the relationship between Dong Zhuo and Li Ru: "This must be Li Ru's plan!" Confucianism and cloth are thick, so they set up this plan, but they did not care about the dignity of the master and the lives of the concubines. The mink cicada also said fiercely, "Concubines should eat their flesh!" The next day, Li Ru waited for the old man's anger: "Is Ru's wife Ken and Lü Bu?" "No more words, words must be cut off!" In the face of this, Li Ru, as a son-in-law, could only sigh: "I have died at the hands of a woman!" ”

Soon, Dong Zhuo was killed, "helping Zhuo to be an abuser, all Li Ruye", and Li Ru, who had been estranged by Dong Zhuo, was also unable to escape death, "going to the city to behead Cao".

In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Li Ru died like this, but this is not the case in the main history.

After Dong Zhuo's death, the Western Liang army was controlled by Li Dai and killed Wang Yun to regain control of the imperial government. In the winter of the third year of Chuping (192), Li Dai elected Li Ru as a servant, but was rejected by Emperor Xian of Han. A few years later, Li Dai was defeated by Cao Cao, and Li Ru's deeds and whereabouts are not found in the history books.

Regardless of Li Ru's ending, his life is a tragedy. He painstakingly tried to isolate himself for his political clique, but in the end he received the comment of "helping Zhuo to be abusive". As Dong Zhuo's chief strategist, he constantly plotted for Dong Zhuo to obtain the highest power, as a first-class strategist, he not only hoped that Dong Zhuo Group would have unique power, but also hoped that the group's rule could win the hearts of the people and be long-lasting. After the completion of the abolition plan, he "persuaded Zhuo zhuo to use celebrities to gain popularity", and also recommended the famous scholar Cai Yong to Dong Zhuo. It is a pity that the entire Dong Zhuo clique lacks long-term political goals, and only knows how to make a fortune in the imperial court, which has long been in name only and exists in name only.

The tragedy of Li Ru is that the object of his service, Dong Zhuo, is only a short-sighted person. If a political group wants to survive and develop in the fierce competition in a chaotic world, in addition to recruiting a large number of human resources, the leader of the group must also be a person with a brain. It is obvious that Dong Zhuo is not such a person, and his personal ability cannot support his ambitions at all, nor can he support the entire group he leads. Such a political group can only be a passing cloud on the stage of history, and its rise and fall is only a moment.

Li Ru: If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished - unfortunately, his lord is Dong Zhuo

Stills of Li Ru in Romance of the Three Kingdoms

The flow of talents during the Three Kingdoms period has broken free from the shackles of ethics and morality, and few people have embraced the concept of "ending from one" to death. Li Ru could have also joined the lord, and after being alienated by Dong Zhuo, he had expected Dong Zhuo to die, but he did not change the court and prepare a back road for himself. Perhaps he is carrying the heavy burden of "helping Zhuo to be abusive", it is difficult to turn to another master, or perhaps people think that his wisdom is a great danger, and what awaits Li Ru can only be tragedy.

"If there is no omission, if you meet a good lord, the great cause will be accomplished", this is the world's sigh to Li Ru.
