The assassination occurred two years, ten months and two days after Kennedy took office as president.

Kennedy was not aware of the crisis at this time, and the Secret Service had advised him to be careful in crowded places, but the week before he left for Texas, he ignored the Secret Service's advice and let the car driver drive away from his motorcycle convoy and take a detour into the crowded downtown manhattan.

For the American people of the time, the tragedy in Dallas was sudden, and they didn't even know that Kennedy had gone to Texas. Kennedy went there just to settle the internal dispute between the two Democrats, and incidentally cheered for the upcoming presidential election.

In order to give him a chance to meet more people, his staff chose his parade route in the most lively commercial area in the city center, and immediately made the route public.

On November 22, 1963, the Kennedys flew to Dallas, Texas, for a visit. Near noon, President Kennedy's plane landed at the airport in Dallas, and First Lady Jacqueline boarded a Lincoln convertible with Kennedy after receiving a bouquet of red roses. The Kennedys sat in the back seat of the car and the Governor and Connery sat in the middle seat.

Kennedy chose the convertible because he wanted more people to see him, and he also eliminated the arrangement for the security guard to stand in the back of the car because it would also block people's view.

The convoy left the airport at 11:55 a.m. for downtown, where Kennedy was scheduled to address more than four thousand people at the Dallas Trade Center at one o'clock in the afternoon.

At 12:30 p.m., as the convoy passed a bend in Dealey Square, there was a sudden muffled sound of gunfire. Afterwards, many people said it sounded like firecrackers, but the second sound soon sounded, and people realized that it was not firecrackers, because the noise was too loud. Meanwhile, Kennedy held his own throat where blood was gushing out of his hand, and Jacqueline tried to cover his neck with her hand to stop the bleeding. The governor in the front seat fell into his wife's arm.

The assassination was not over, and the murderer vowed Kennedy's life. Immediately after the third shot, it was a fatal shot, the bullet passed through the back of Kennedy's head, hit part of the skull, and blood and brain plasma suddenly gushed out, very tragic.

In the face of such a tragic situation, first lady Jacqueline did not panic, she quickly climbed to the trunk, retrieved a skull that her husband had been beaten and flew, and took it all the way to the hospital.

Jacqueline, who had retrieved the broken skull, quickly climbed back into her seat and placed Kennedy's head on her lap, not wanting to be seen that her husband's head had been broken and that her clothes were stained with blood.

The driver, who had just reacted, immediately stepped on the accelerator and sped toward the nearby Parkland Memorial Hospital, where Kennedy was pronounced dead half an hour later.

When Vice President Lyndon Johnson's wife went to the ward to comfort Jacqueline and ask her if she wanted to change her bloodstained clothes, Jacqueline refused, saying:

"I want everyone to see what President Kennedy went through!"

Afterwards, people tried to reconstruct the whole story of the event.

The investigation revealed that the sniper, Lee Harvey Oswald, was fired on the 6th floor of the textbook warehouse building, and he was an administrator of the warehouse. After the assassination, he left the gun there, walked down the street to take a bus through seven blocks, and then transferred to a taxi back to the apartment. At 2:15 p.m., Oswald shot the officer who had come to interrogate him with a pistol, and 35 minutes later he was arrested in a nearby movie theater.

Two days later, an unbelievable thing happened, and the Assassin himself was murdered.

Lee Harvey Oswald was shot dead by Jack Ruby, the owner of a nightclub, on his way to another prison. The shooting happened right in front of 70 uniformed police officers. Since the transfer of the offender was being broadcast live on television, all television viewers witnessed the shooting.

Jacqueline, the former first lady who learned of the incident, called it "a more terrible thing."
