Unlike the classic Japanese drama Tokyo Love Story, which aired in 1991, the new version is set in 2020, with Kentaro Ito as Kentaro Nagao, Shizukawa Ishibashi as Reika Akamei, Sho Kiyohara as Kenichi Mikami, and Asuna Ishii as Rimi Sekiguchi.
The newly joined Hidekazu Majima plays the advertising agency manager kazunaki kazunaki who works for Tsuji and Rika, Satoshi Takada plays Naoko Takada as Naoko Akira, an honor class in the medical school, and Masato Teshima as Rimi's colleague Kitagawa-sensei.
