In an interview, Dominion said that he began to plan the restoration of Qin Liangyu's costumes in about 2019, so he visited the China Three Gorges Museum in Chongqing to try to restore the most authentic appearance of the costumes by consulting relevant literature and history or picture materials. "In the historical materials, Qin Liangyu's costumes are mutilated because of their age, and there are defective parts of the clothing patterns, so we have studied the python patterns of similar costumes in other museums in the same period as a basis, and through continuous study and restoration, they have been restored."
In addition to the preliminary preparation, the production process of this dress is also more complicated. Dominion said that in the cartography, because the entire costume has ornaments, coupled with the early inquiry of historical materials, the entire cartography was drawn for three months. The fabric is customized, and the embroidery is copied using modern technology, but even the machine embroidery has been embroidered for three full days, and this python robe has as many as 500,000 stitches. Finally, he made a special trip to Shandong to find an old tailor to make by hand. TD says the whole process lasted up to half a year.
