It's just to give them good health and fertility, which sounds crazy. There are also green beers and lamb-shaped cakes. In terms of decoration, you can buy cute painted eggs at the handicraft market.
In the cost of living: Living with other people living in a shared apartment in the Czech Republic is very reasonable. In Prague, you can rent a room in a shared apartment for $350-400 per month. Outside of the capital, you can rent the entire apartment for around $550 per month, which includes utilities. Similarly, outside of Prague, the cost of living in the Czech Republic is reasonable.
