Shanghai is the birthplace of the Chinese Communist Party and the origin of red communications. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of the Communist Party of China, a reporter from Jiefang Daily Shangguan News learned from China Telecom Shanghai Company (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Telecom) that they have used hundreds of posters with the theme of the history of the Communist Party of China and the history of red communications to change more than 500 public telephone booths in Shanghai into "new clothes" and turn street public telephone booths into exhibition halls for people to study party history and accept patriotic influence.
It is understood that among the more than 500 public speech booths, there are nearly 40 red-themed posters with contents such as "The Earliest Chinese Translation of the Communist Manifesto Came Out in Shanghai" and "The Former Site of the Central Organ of the Chinese Socialist Youth League", mainly distributed in Huangpu District, and there is a road junction on Guoshun Road near the former residence of Chen Wangdao, the former president of Fudan University.
More than 50 public telephone booths around the sites of the First, Second, and Fourth Congresses of the Communist Party of China were plastered with red-themed posters with contents such as "The First Congress of the Communist Party of China," "The Second Congress of the Communist Party of China," "The Fourth Congress of the Communist Party of China," and "The Secretariat of the Chinese Labor Union." Among the more than 500 public telephone booths, more than 50 of them posted "The 'Grand Secret' Personally Compiled by Comrade Zhou Enlai Was Born in Shanghai," "Li Bai Came to Shanghai to Set Up a Radio Station," "Qin Hongjun Set Up a Radio Station," "The First Radio Communications Talent Training Class of the CPC Central Committee," "The Establishment of the Third International Radio Station," and "The International Radio Station Is Really Like a Letter Station." and other red communication content of the theme poster. In addition, the red-themed posters posted at the booth also involved "the founding of the Guide", "the founding of the "New Youth Daily", "the editorial office of "China Youth", "the former residence of Mao Zedong", "the former residence of Lu Xun", "the former residence of Liu Changsheng", "the memorial hall of Gu Zhenghong", "the first public singing of the national anthem here", "the alliance of left-wing writers", and so on.

Looking back on the past, Shanghai, as the vanguard of reform and opening up, the small public talk booth also engraved the mark of the times with red theme posters.
Among the red themed posters posted in more than 500 booths, there are also content related to reform and opening up and the digital transformation of Shanghai, such as "2010 Shanghai World Expo", "China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone", "China International Import Expo", "Laying China's First China-Japan Submarine Cable", "Shanghai Entering the 5G Era", "Shanghai Building the World's First Gigabit City", etc. In the National Exhibition and Convention Center, Century Avenue, Waigaoqiao and other places, the public can find the figure of these public talk booths.
Shanghai Telecom relevant people told reporters that the public can inquire about the location of more than 500 red public telephone booths through the "China Telecom Shanghai Company", "China Telecom Shanghai Customer Service" or "China Telecom Shanghai Internet Hall" public accounts, go to punch in, and feel the red mark of the city.
In addition, Shanghai Telecom opened a special number for the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, "20210701", and the public dialed the number anytime and anywhere with a landline and mobile phone (foreign users added 021 at the beginning), that is, they could hear a hundred red historical stories recorded by professional announcers.
Among them, there are the story of the revolutionary martyr Li Bai told by Qiao Hao, a language performance artist and state-level actor; the story of the first national congress of the Communist Party of China told by Cao Lei, a well-known voice actor and national first-class actor; and the story of the establishment of the first secret radio station of our party told by Liu Feng, a state-level actor and director of the Shanghai Film Translation and Production Factory.
