Jilin is the founding place of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army. In December 1931, on the basis of the Laonong Red Guards and special forces, the Panshi Central County Committee of the Communist Party of China formed the first northeast anti-Japanese armed force under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Panshi Red Guerrillas. From the end of 1931 to the summer of 1932, a number of anti-Japanese guerrillas were born in Jilin Province, which was the predecessor of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League. In February 1934, the General Headquarters of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army was established in Linjiang County, with Yang Jingyu as the commander-in-chief, which was the first time in history that the name of "Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army" was proposed. Jilin Province became the founding place of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Coalition Army and made major historical contributions to the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan.
Jilin was the initiator of the Northeast Liberation War. On December 14, 1946, at the "Seven Daojiang Conference" held by the South Manchuria Sub-Bureau and the Liaodong Military Region, Chen Yun resolutely "made a decision", determined the strategic principle of "adhering to Southern Manchuria and defending Linjiang", and implemented the tactic of "fighting south and north and south" and implementing the tactic of "fighting south and north and south" . In 1953, the first automobile manufacturing plant was laid in Changchun, and in 1956 it was completed and put into operation, and on July 13, 1956, the first domestic car in New China, the "Liberation" brand truck, successfully rolled off the production line, and the dream of new China's automobile was opened here.
