On the afternoon of August 6, at the press conference on the first anniversary of the countdown to the opening of the 17th Shaanxi Provincial Games, the Yulin Municipal Preparatory Committee of the 17th Provincial Games said that it would recruit 2,000 volunteers and 4,000 city volunteers for the whole society.
It is understood that the recruitment period of volunteers for the games is from October 10, 2021 to December 10, 2021, and the recruitment period of urban volunteers is from March 1, 2022 to May 1, 2022.
Volunteers mainly provide volunteer services for the relevant personnel of the competition project in the competition venues, athletes' villages and reception hotels; urban volunteers mainly provide volunteer services such as information consultation, order guidance, tour guide shopping, cultural display, and civilization transmission for the masses and tourists in the crowded areas of each competition area.
The recruitment conditions for volunteers are: (1) 18 years old, with the physical and psychological conditions required to carry out volunteer service, and have good communication and coordination skills; (2) abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, no criminal record; (3) have good moral character, a highly responsible work attitude, and be able to participate in pre-job training and related activities throughout the process; (4) those who have experience in volunteer service practice are preferred.
The recruitment of volunteers for the Provincial Seventeenth Games is divided into three steps: registration, review, selection and recruitment. Registration adopts a combination of organizational recommendation and individual self-recommendation, and those who are willing can log on to the "Official Website of the 17th Shaanxi Provincial Games", click into the volunteer channel, and correctly fill in personal information to register. After that, the Preparatory Committee will review and select in accordance with the relevant procedures and send a letter of acceptance to those who meet the requirements.
According to reports, the recruited volunteers who have performed well in service will be awarded the honorary certificate of outstanding volunteers of the Provincial Games; according to the service time and service effect, the Preparatory Committee will award the volunteers with souvenirs of the Provincial Games, and include their service time in the volunteers' personal volunteer service files.
