Jia Yan (1612 ~ c. 1692), a native of Wuling (present-day Changde), Hunan. The character Jie Qiu, also known as Shi Xi, also known as Bai Bald, No. 1 Soil, called himself a remnant Daoist, a late Shi Dao person, and his family name was Liu. He was left on the early Qing Dynasty painting altar and was called "Two Stones" along with Shi Tao. The work is sincere and unique in style. At that time, the most outstanding achievements had a great impact on future generations.

The broken landscape paintings are safe, complex and rigorous, lush but not forced, the scenery does not win with novelty, but sees deep in the ordinary; the brushwork is thick, dignified, vigorous, and absurd; the use of majestic bald pens and thirsty inks, layers of rubbing and dyeing, pen and ink blending, thick and not stagnant, bald pens and not dry; mountain stones are mostly used to dissolve the ropes and phidds, and moss is dotted with thick ink, showing that the mountains and rivers are deep and the grass and trees are rich. His works are based on real landscapes and have the artistic realm of "the mysterious realm is amazing, the Burmese is deep and fascinating".
