Li Xia Season, Tang Dynasty Meng Haoran's "Summer South Pavilion Huaixin Da"

"Summer South Pavilion Huaixin Da"

[Tang] Meng Haoran

The mountain light suddenly set in the west, and the pond moon gradually moved east.

Radiate the coolness of the sunset, open and lie idle.

The lotus wind sends the aroma, and the bamboo dew drops clearly.

If you want to play the piano, you hate ignorant music rewards.

Feeling this nostalgic for the past, the dream of the midnight labor.

Li Xia Season, Tang Dynasty Meng Haoran's "Summer South Pavilion Huaixin Da"

Translations

The glow of the mountain suddenly fell on the west mountain, and the bright moon on the pool gradually rose above the east mountain.

Loose hair, just take advantage of the coolness of the night; open the window, idle and relaxing is pleasant.

The breeze on the lotus pond slowly brings the fragrance of lotus flowers, and the dew on the bamboo leaves gently drips down to make a clear sound.

If you want to take the piano and play a song, you only hate that there is no zhiyin to appreciate in front of you.

When I think of this, I can't help but miss my old friends, and I still miss them in my dreams until the middle of the night.

Appreciation

This is a summer poem by the Tang Dynasty poet Meng Haoran. Missing friends and cherishing people is undoubtedly the most important theme of this poem. It is precisely because of this thought that everything around me has become gentle and beautiful.

Everything is good on a summer night, but there is a lack of a good friend. The poet looked at the beautiful cool dusk night scene in front of him, "The mountain light suddenly sets in the west, and the pond moon gradually rises in the east." "The lotus wind sends the aroma, and the bamboo dew drops clearly." Inadvertently, I remembered Xin Da, who had not been seen for a long time, so I played the piano and complained about the pain of missing. Once upon a time together, how happy, you know the sound of my fingertips, I understand the scenery in your eyes. For example, on all sides of the world, no one can understand the sound of my fingertips and the scenery in front of me.

"The mountain light suddenly sets in the west, and the pond moon gradually rises in the east." These two sentences mean that the light of the mountain suddenly falls on the west mountain, and the bright moon on the pool gradually rises above the east mountain. This is to write "The Time of the South Pavilion" through vision. Sunset at dusk, willow branches on the moon, often the easiest to evoke a person's thoughts. The sun and the moon are fleeting, time is like an arrow, but the poet's thoughts about Xin Da have not been reduced by half a point.

"Radiate the coolness of the sunset, open and lie idle." These two sentences mean that the hair is loose, just riding the cool of the night; opening the window and lying idle makes people feel comfortable. This is to write "the state of the South Pavilion Huairen" through the sense of touch. "Sporadic" is a state of relaxation; "kaixuan" is also a state of relaxation. This comfortable state is precisely due to the comfortable environment around it. This writes the beauty and expectation of the arrival of summer from the side.

"The lotus wind sends the aroma, and the bamboo dew drops clearly." These two sentences mean that the breeze on the lotus pond slowly sends the fragrance of lotus flowers, and the dewdrops on the bamboo leaves gently drip and make a clear sound. This is to write "the scenery around the South Pavilion" through the sense of smell and hearing. These two sentences are the most wonderful part of the whole poem, and they write very concisely about the quiet and quiet scenery of the South Pavilion in summer, which makes people can't help but be fascinated.

"If you want to play the piano, you hate ignorant music rewards." These two sentences mean that if you want to take the harp and play a song, you only hate that there is no Zhiyin appreciation in front of you. This is through the auditory writing "Nanting Nostalgic Mood". A word of "hate" speaks to the real sorrow in the poet's heart--Huai Cai is not met. When you read the farewell poem he wrote to Wang Wei when he left Chang'an, "When the road is false, it is rare to know the world." "You can understand the hatred in his heart." As Xin Shuyi sighed, "Those who know me, the second and third sons." Meng Haoran also missed him so much because Xin Da understood him.

"Feeling this nostalgic for the deceased, the dream of the mid-night work." These two sentences mean that when I think of this, I can't help but miss my old friends, and I still miss them in my dreams until the middle of the night. This is written "South Pavilion cherishes the affection of people". In fact, the first four sentences are a good five laws. But why did the poet write another sentence? Reading carefully, it is not difficult to find that if there is no last sentence, it cannot be pointed, let alone reflect the long time of nostalgia and the depth of friendship with friends.

Coinciding with the summer, may your summer be accompanied by people who understand you, and may the scenery in front of you have people who like to accompany you to see, and then worry-free and happy.
