Two Eagle Kings: Joe Johnson & Josh Smith

Once the two eagle kings of the Eagles: Joe Johnson & Josh Smith.

In the 2004 draft, the Hawks selected Josh Smith with the 17th pick in the first round, Josh was physically strong, he was elected the king of dunks in the rookie season, he averaged 9.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.95 blocks per game in the rookie season, and was selected for the rookie lineup, after which he grew steadily, showing all-round skills, and his powerful dunks and blocks are still the most profound memories of the Hawks of that era.

Unlike Smith, Joe Johnson had already made a name for the Suns before coming to the Hawks, and for a more important role on the team, he joined the Hawks in the summer of 2005 with a 70 million contract, and after coming to the Hawks, Johnson ushered in the peak of his career, averaging 20+ points per game for five consecutive seasons.

Johnson's low-key maturity, comprehensive technology, Smith's strong ball, both offensive and defensive, the combination of the two can be described as complementary, under their leadership, the Eagles in the double Eagle era in the seven seasons of the playoffs 5 times. However, the Two Eagles have always had difficulty taking the team further in the playoffs, and at most only stopped in the second round.

In the summer of 2012, Joe Johnson was traded to the Nets; in the summer of 2013, Josh joined the Pistons, ending the Double Hawk era.
