From the initial "livelihood rice bowl" all the way, Lanzhou beef noodles have not only become a business card of Chinese food culture, but also accurately assisted in the official-led "all-round well-off" poverty alleviation battle. How to shape the "beef noodle economy" of "thousands of stores and thousands of people" in the next step is the "important mission" of Ma Limin, a deputy to the National People's Congress and president of the Lanzhou Beef Ramen Industry Association.
Ma Limin said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency recently that at present, this bowl of noodles has formed a "beef ramen economy", which not only helps more and more Gansu people to rely on Lanzhou beef noodles to go out of their hometowns and achieve poverty alleviation, but also to drive more families in the five northwestern provinces and even the whole country to get rid of poverty and get rich, which is a sunrise industry and "golden rice bowl" for starting a business and getting rich.
Founded in 1915, Lanzhou beef noodles are famous all over the world for their unique style of "soup clear mirror, rotten meat fragrant, thin noodles long". According to official statistics, at present, Lanzhou beef noodles not only spread throughout Chinese mainland cities, but also more than 100 "Lanzhou beef ramen" noodle restaurants to the world, distributed in More than 40 countries and regions such as Russia, Canada, Singapore, Japan, the United States, and Brazil.
"At present, there are more than 4,000 Lanzhou beef ramen operators in Gansu, with an annual turnover of about 12 billion yuan (RMB, the same below)." Ma Limin said that with the implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative, Lanzhou beef ramen around the world has formed a huge industrial chain that drives upstream and downstream related industries and extends to scientific research and development, technical training, production and processing, logistics and distribution, and chain operations.
In Ma Limin's view, with the rapid development of the beef noodle industry, wheat planting, flour processing, beef cattle breeding, raw material production, etc. to achieve organic combination, its association will continue to lay out the Lanzhou beef ramen industry chain, leading beef noodle brand enterprises to form an industrial linkage, thereby supporting brand enterprises and beef, flour, pepper, pepper and other raw and auxiliary materials supply enterprises in Gansu Province to establish long-term and stable cooperative relations, to help participants increase income.
"This bowl of noodles will drive relevant industries to solve the problem of social employment of millions of people." Ma Limin analyzed that according to the official policy, Lanzhou beef ramen brand enterprises will be encouraged to go faster and realize the "thousands of stores and thousands of people" beef ramen brand plan. For those who expand their stores, each store will give one-time financial and policy support, encourage enterprises and individuals, open more beef ramen shops outside the province, and accelerate the pace of "going out".
In order to further promote the development of Lanzhou beef ramen industry, Centennial Lanzhou Beef Noodles is exploring the implementation of projects stationed in college restaurants across the country. In 2020, Lanzhou Beef Ramen Industry Association unit Jinwei Dramian Cultural Industry Group Co., Ltd., through the docking of agricultural schools, enabled poor households to have a stable income and can gradually increase income.
Nowadays, relying on the vocational skills colleges in Gansu Province, Lanzhou Beef Ramen Vocational Training School and Talent Training Base, Lanzhou Beef Noodles has realized the combination of production and education, school-enterprise combination, providing skills training for practitioners, and doing a good job in national vocational qualification certification services from many aspects such as beef noodle standards and ramen technicians, and has carried out more than 100,000 vocational skills training.
Starting from the street snack of "one panel, two pots, two benches and one table", Lanzhou Beef Noodles has developed from a small shop in the city to a large industry with more than 50,000 stores around the world and a large market with operating income of more than 80 billion yuan.
