He added: "It was a really special time for me and my family and I was very happy to be able to go to Spa and leave my mark on a track of special significance. ”
Mick Schumacher had a tough performance at the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he fought fiercely with Verstappen and Russell. In 2018, Mick won his first F3 race in Belgium and he is very eager to keep that in shape.
Mick said: "Overall, Spa is my favourite track, regardless of the situation. In 2018 I won my first F3 race here, kicking off my winning streak. Here I also got my first pole position of the year. ”
Speaking about what the race meant to him, he said: "It's great to be there to start racing because it's a special track for me and my family. So I'm happy to be back there and hopefully we'll have some unexpected bonuses, that's going to be great. ”
Mick is very much looking forward to returning to Spa, saying: "For me, it's fantastic to be back at Spa. I was there last year and in previous years, and obviously we've had a lot of ups and downs there. ”
He added: "This is definitely one of the most challenging tracks. It's very long, it's a lot of drops, it's very historic, and it's definitely going to be one of the most special weekends on our calendar, so I'm really looking forward to getting back to this track. ”
