Bandai partnered with Shaun the Sheep studio Aardman to create a new IP

Aardman, the world's top stop-motion animation studio that launched Shaun the Sheep, and Japanese distributor Bandai Namco have reached an agreement to jointly produce a new IP.

At the moment, no details about the new IP have flowed out, but the collaboration is expected to expand across multiple projects, which the two companies say is the first to "exist across multiple media."

Work on the project will take place in early 2021, and Adelman and Bandai Namco hope to "tailor stories for current and future platforms". More details will be released at a later date.

Sean Clarke, managing director of Aardman, said: "Interactive entertainment is a huge growth area in the entertainment world. ”

The two companies have previously collaborated on 11-11: Retelling Memories, a touching story about World War I, Aardman's first commercial video game.
