In 1948, as the revolutionary struggle became more and more intense, more and more underground party members were arrested by Kuomintang agents, Peng Yongwu was also unfortunately killed in the mission, Jiang Zhujun was sad, but she still had the enthusiasm to fight for the revolutionary cause, because the motherland needed her, Jiang Zhujun had to endure grief to take over her husband's work and fight with the enemy, but the Chongqing underground party organization at that time was already surging in the dark tide, she was betrayed by the traitor Ran Yizhi during a mission, fell into the enemy's trap, and was unfortunately arrested.

As a key criminal arrested by the Kuomintang, Jiang Zhujun received much "attention", and the agents imprisoned her in Chongqing's Zhazhidong Prison and tortured her in every way, but the indomitable Jiang Zhujun never bowed her head, she firmed her faith, and preferred to die unyieldingly. The Kuomintang agents used all kinds of cruel means to force Jiang Zhujun to obey, tiger stools, electrocution, thorny steel whips and other tortures were staged one by one, and the cruel military command agents even inserted bamboo sticks into Jiang Zhujun's ten fingers.

On the eve of the imminent liberation of Chongqing in 1949, Jiang Zhuyun had already sensed that the Kuomintang agents had lost their last patience and were bound to carry out a massacre before the rescue team came to the rescue. At this critical moment, Jiang Zhujun missed his son Peng Yun so much that he decided to write a suicide note to his cousin, but Jiang Zhujun was a major criminal, and the Kuomintang guarded it very strictly, and there was no paper and pen.

In the day and night of thinking, Jiang Zhujun, who was eager to think of a child, thought of a way, she took advantage of the fact that the agents were not paying attention, secretly hid a chopstick, sharpened it into a pen, burned cotton into ashes, and then mixed with clear water to turn it into ink, so she began to write a secret letter, in which Jiang Zhujun was full of deep thoughts about her son Peng Yun and expectations for the revolutionary cause: "Hope to teach is to follow the footsteps of her parents and to build a new China..."

With the joint help of the fellow prisoners, a revolutionary party member rebelled against a guard in the prison, and finally the letter was handed over to Jiang Zhujun's cousin Tan Zhu'an, with sincere words, true words, and a thousand words to express the love of a mother, and Sister Jiang's suicide note was carefully preserved after liberation and treasured in the museum.

Various torture devices in Zha Di Dong Prison

On November 14, 1949, on the eve of the liberation of Chongqing, a massacre was also staged, and the Kuomintang agents did not forget the Zha di Dong Prison while retreating, many revolutionary party members in the Zha Di Dong Prison were brutally killed, jiang Zhujun, who was only 29 years old, was secretly shot, and her body was destroyed by the agents with hydrochloric acid, although her life was dead, but the heroic soul will last forever.

In 1962, the famous literary artist Yan Su and his team waded through the mountains and came to Chongqing to visit their revolutionary teammates, hoping to improve the script of the opera "Sister Jiang" and find inspiration for creation, which was also affirmed by General Liu Yalou, Yan Su and the staff of the crew carefully considered every line in the opera "Sister Jiang", and its theme song "Red Meizan" was widely circulated, the opera "Sister Jiang" was successfully released, countless reporters reported it, and also let the public understand the novel "Red Rock" more intuitively. In that touching and profound historical event, Sister Jiang's tenacious and indomitable patriotic belief has influenced generations of young students.
