"Desire Under the Elm" is Eugene O'Neill's masterpiece, hailed as "America's first great tragedy" and a world-renowned theater scene. In 2007, the play was staged in the "Renyi Small Theater" on the south side of the Capital Theatre, starring Wang Lei and Zheng Tianwei. This time, "Desire Under the Elm Tree" was chosen as the first performance of the new "Renyi Small Theater", hoping to open the theater with a classic.
