<h1 class="ql-align-justify" > reminiscences of the teacher</h1>
In 1955, I was fortunate to be admitted to the Anyang Yu Opera Troupe to study drama with the troupe, and at that time there were more than 20 of our students. The first time we met the teacher, we were so kind and gentle in our words and demeanor. She asked our group of students to call her "Tian Gu", and she cared about her from life to art.
Since I followed her earlier, I was fortunate enough to see a large number of plays she performed when she was younger, and I benefited a lot from hearing about it. The first play she taught me was "You Gui Shan Touya". It was a masterpiece she had performed regularly in those years. At that time, my voice conditions were not good, and the masters always arranged for me to learn to play some wudan and daomadan roles, and the plays I often acted in were martial arts, such as "Thorn Bajie" and "The Great War of the Eleven Kingdoms". Acting in "The Legend of the White Snake" only asked me to play the part where there was a fight in front of me, and when I got to the place where there was a big board play, I changed it to someone else. I clearly remember that the teacher called me to the front, gave me a rap voice word by word, compared me with one move after another, and told me how to pronounce this sentence, spit words, line cavity, luck, and what kind of problems existed in that sentence.
In 1959, when I first appeared in the performance of "Red Plum", my mentor "Hit Iron While It Was Hot" let me star in the large-scale modern drama "Honghu Red Guards". The mentor asked me to play the lead actor and was willing to play Han Mu for the students. In the autumn of 1960, "Honghu Red Guards" was performed 20 times in Zhengzhou, which was a great success and a full field. In order to cultivate me, the prosperous mentor took the initiative to give up the stage, willing to be a green leaf, and promote the youth. For example, in "Touya", I played Hu Fenglian, and she played the supporting role of Mrs. Tian. In "Three Weeping Halls", I played the Princess of Yinping, and she played the eldest grandson; in "Red Seed", I played Hua Xiaofeng, and she played Wang Lao'er's mother; in "Honghu Red Guards", I played Han Ying, she played Han Mother, and so on.
She not only helped me artistically, but also cared about me in life. The color of our clothes at that time was particularly monotonous, and she thought that the little girl should wear a little brighter, so she specially bought me a particularly beautiful flower cloth and let me make a gown to wear. Master not only taught me to learn art, but also cared for me so much in life, which was really better than my mother was to me!

In 1962, when Zhang Baoying performed with his teacher Jinjing again, he was already a young star after Cui Lantian. After Tian Han watched her performance, he gave her a high evaluation.
Performing in Beijing, Cui Lantian personally invited Mr. Tian Han to watch the play. In the auditorium of the Capital Hospital, Elder Tian Han invited General Su Yu to watch "Three Weeping Halls" together. Zhang Baoying plays the heroine Princess Yinping, and Cui Lantian plays the supporting role of the eldest grandson. Elder Tian watched Zhang Baoying's singing and was happy that Cui Pai art had a new person. He wrote drama reviews overnight on his sickbed, praising Zhang Baoying in the People's Daily for "performing quite vividly" and "showing excellent talents", and cheering for Zhang Baoying's artistic take-off.
