Based on the novel Heidi (aka Little Heidi) by Swiss children's writer Johanna Spieri, the film Heidi and Grandpa was published in 1881 and directed by Alain Guspenner and starring Anouk Steffen, telling the story of the girl Heidi's upbringing, released in Germany in 2015.
"Heidi and Grandpa" is not the only film adapted from this novel, in the past century or so, the novel has been adapted into film and stage plays 20 times, among which the more prominent ones are: "Heidi" starring Shulan Temple in the United States in 1937, the film "Heidi" directed by Michael Ray Rhodes in the United States in 1993, the film "Heidi" starring Emma Berger in the United Kingdom in 2005, and the animation film "The Girl of the Alps" co-produced by Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki in 1974. The reason why this work can last forever is that the innocence, kindness and optimism revealed by the story can warm everyone.
The little girl Heidi lost her parents at a very young age, and then was raised by her aunt, until the age of eight, the aunt felt too much pressure in life, both to take care of Heidi, but also to take care of her own children, and work, there was no way, the aunt forced Heidi to live in the Alpine mountains to her grandfather.
Grandpa is a stubborn and eccentric, grumpy old man, he does not like to deal with people, Heidi was just sent to eat the closed door soup, Grandpa is very repulsive heidi. At night, Heidi went into the sheep shed alone and hugged the sheep to sleep peacefully, Heidi liked it very much, on the way to send Heidi over by her aunt, Heidi saw the beautiful scenery of nature, and she jumped excitedly, played with the little butterflies, and ran freely, Heidi longed to be close to nature.

Later, Heidi was secretly sold by her aunt to the nobles in the city to take care of Clara, a 12-year-old girl with a leg disability, who had fallen ill and disabled when she was young, resulting in weakness and the need to rely on a wheelchair to walk. Clara's mother died, and her father had no time to accompany her because of her work, so that Clara was lonely and lonely since she was a child, and the long-term etiquette constraint made Clara inferior and willful.
When Heidi arrived, Clara's life became much more interesting, Heidi's authentic, kind and unrestrained state was always infected with clara, and soon the smile on Clara's face increased. But Heidi did not like it here, the aristocratic family rules were strict, even the windows had to be closed tightly sealed, and she missed the free days in the Alps even more, so she also suffered from sleepwalking.
Later, Clara's grandmother sent Heidi back to her grandfather's house and gave Clara to her grandfather's care. Heidi teaches Clara to take a bowl of milk and take her to herd the sheep, but Clara's arrival makes Pete jealous and secretly pushes the wheelchair down the hill. Later, Grandpa carried Clara up the mountain to find Pete, no one cared about Pete's small actions, invisible kindness and forgiveness may be the most touching bar.
