The movie "Heidi and Grandpa" tells the story between Heidi, who lost her parents but is still innocent and lovely, and her grandfather, who lives in the Alps with a strange temperament but a warm heart.
After Heidi lost both parents, her aunt took care of her for five years. Because she got a new job in Frankfurt, she had to send Heidi to her grandfather. The old man lived alone in the Alps for many years, guarding his two sheep and log cabin. He has an eccentric personality, and the villagers down the mountain look down on him and regard him as a laughingstock. So when his aunt came to him with this little granddaughter she had never met, his first words were to let them roll.
The old man didn't let Heidi stay, but her aunt pulled Heidi aside and told her, "Don't be afraid, Grandpa won't hurt her, and left."
Maybe he had been alone for a long time, or maybe he had never been understood, and in the face of the arrival of his little granddaughter, the old man could only shut himself in the cabin, and he was overwhelmed by this affection, but he still longed, and still watched little Heidi's every move from the window.
Heidi slept with two sheep in the stables on her first night. Early the next morning, the old man came to the stables and milked a bowl of goat's milk for Heidi, but he was still guarding his stubbornness and loneliness. He took Heidi to the priest hoping to take her away, and the priest told him that even if he wanted to find someone to adopt, the child would have to stay with him for a few days. In this indifferent world, one is a child who has lost his parents, and the other is a lonely old man, and this family affection binds these two abandoned people together.
Heidi was temporarily left in Grandpa's cabin, a chair, a table, a bed is all the furniture in this wooden house. At night, Heidi slept in the hay-covered attic, and from the window she could see the whole starry sky.
Pete, the shepherd who had been herding sheep for the old man, took Heidi to higher altitudes to herd sheep. Two innocent children became good friends in the beautiful Alps.
Pete tells Heidi that her grandfather has killed people before, and when She returns home in the evening, Heidi shivers, she tells the old man that he wants to go back to sleep in the stables, but Grandpa only tells her to let her believe in her eyes and ears. It's hard not to care about what other people think, but we have to care more about our own opinions.
Heidi didn't go to the stables to sleep, and she wasn't afraid of Grandpa anymore, she rushed up and gave Grandpa a deep hug. Grandpa takes Heidi on a sleigh and takes her to play with Pete. Heidi meets Pete, who comes back from school, who tells her that school is particularly boring, and that she also knows Pete's grandmother, who can't see her eyes, loses her teeth, and can't eat hard things. On the way back to the cabin by Grandpa, she said they were lucky people. Spring had arrived, but Heidi's aunt had also come to pick her up. Although she changed into the beautiful clothes that belonged here, and every meal was fluffy bread, she still missed her grandfather who lived in the cabin, still wanted to open the window to see the mountains outside, and still remembered hiding a small bread every meal to bring back to her grandmother who could not move hard bread. But when she opened the window, all she saw was rows of rooftops, no mountains or trees. The servant Sebastian told her that in the distant spire she could see farther.
Heidi took advantage of the nap and pushed Clara out. She climbed the tower, but all she saw was the endless house.
When Sebastian brought them back, Ms. Mel punished Heidi for not allowing her to eat dinner and thinking about it for going out without permission and bringing back a few kittens that made her sneeze wildly.
Heidi changed back into the shepherd's clothes and said goodbye to Clara with pockets full of small bread on her back, and she was going back to the cabin. Clara wept bitterly at her departure, Heidi did not leave, they reconciled, still good friends. Heidi didn't make any progress in his studies, because he always remembered Pete saying that Alpine children didn't have to go to school.
Clara's father returned, along with her grandmother. Clara's father felt much better when he saw his daughter, but Ms. Mel told them that Heidi was a problematic child on the grounds that Heidi couldn't read.
But grandmother, an old woman full of wisdom, took a fairy tale book and told Heidi the story of the shepherd, but she deliberately stopped at the wonderful place and told Heidi to read it herself if she wanted to know the result.
Her grandmother stirred Heidi's desire to learn, and she was soon able to read fairy tale books. But she also missed life in the Alps more and more, Grandpa and his good friend Pete. So much so that she often sleepwalked at night to stand at the gate.
Clara's father intends to send Heidi back, but Clara wants Heidi to stay with her forever, she is angry with everyone in the house, she locks herself in the room, and she does not say goodbye to Heidi until Heidi leaves. Heidi gave Clara the bird toy that her grandfather had given her.
Sebastian sends Heidi back to Grandpa.
Heidi returned to her place, took off the shoes that had been held in her hands by the women who had never left the village in her life, and kissed the land with the soles of her feet, just as she had when she first arrived. Clara and Heidi slept in the hay-covered attic, throwing hay at each other and playing with each other, and Clara learned heidi to pick up the bowl and drink milk, licking the bottom of the bowl clean. But Pete loses Heidi to go up the hill with clara to herd sheep with him, and he pushes Clara's wheelchair down the hill and breaks it.
Grandpa carried Clara to the hillside and let Clara and Heidi herd sheep on the hillside. A butterfly rested on the back of Clara's foot, and just as she tried to touch the butterfly, the butterfly flew away.
