I've been coming to Hainan from Luoyang for half a month, and I've been looking for a place to fish or catch crabs.
These days live near Sanya Bay, in the evening to see fishermen pulling nets to catch fish, after two hours of netting can harvest hundreds of pounds of fish and shrimp. However, the high and low tides in Sanya Bay are not obvious, and there are no large beaches on the seashore, and only small hermit crabs are seen.
I went to Luhuitou Park to play in the small East Sea, where there are many reefs and rocks. At low tide, the sea did not completely dry up, wading to the reef area of more than 100 meters offshore, and saw crabs in the water, and could not catch them at all. The people who rushed to the sea returned empty-handed.
It seems that Hainan is not as good as the north, and the sea water can retreat several kilometers when the tide in the north is low, and it is easy to pick up sea goods in the puddle left by the low tide.
Later, I rode to the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area, and saw a small river in the fishing village on the edge of the scenic spot, the river was very clear, and I saw many fish swimming in groups. The end of the world is 14 kilometers away from where you live, which is too far.
At the east end of Sanya Bay, there is a Phoenix Island, which is closer than Luhuitou Scenic Area and only 3 or 4 kilometers away from where you live. One day after the rain, the sky was clear, and I rode over.
Phoenix Island is very close to the shore, which is 100 meters away, and you can go to the island through this bridge. Several high-rise buildings in the distance, there is a high-end hotel, as well as residential buildings, it is said that the most expensive time room rate is 150,000 yuan per square meter.
The island is small, with helicopter tours, piers and cruise ships.
Walk from the pier to the sea and see someone fishing. The angler took a sea rod and hung shrimp meat on a single hook to catch a small fish. He said there are a lot of boats and not many fish here.
However, he is very good at catching crabs. The shrimp meat was tied to the fishing line, and when he saw the crabs on the reef, he threw them over, and caught several in a moment.
It seems that Phoenix Island fishing and catching crabs is good, came to Hainan without fishing gear, so I bought three kinds of fishing gear online: crab cages, crab bait, and 1.2 meters long mini small sea rods.
Listen to local aquarists say that stockings and steel balls can also catch crabs. Stockings were hard to find, so I bought a pack of four wire balls at the supermarket and tried it first.
Fishing for crabs with wire balls is a failure, the bait is a small fish when the fishermen collect the nets on the beach, and it is a bit putrid for a day, and it is difficult to put them in the wire balls. The wire ball is tied with a rope and put into the water, there are many reefs at the water's edge, and the wire ball falls into the crevice of the reef and falls when the rope is collected.
The crab cage bought online has finally arrived, it is cylindrical, with three openings on the side, and it is difficult for crabs to get out. The red bait box hangs inside, and the bait is placed in the box.
The weather in Hainan is volatile this season, and today's forecast is small to moderate rain. In the afternoon, I looked at the sky clear, went to Phoenix Island at 4 o'clock, and here the sun was out again, and it was very sunny.
I took out the crab cage and put the chicken bones left over from the first day in the bait box. The sea here is more than 1 meter deep, there are reefs on the shore, so I found a place with few reefs and threw the crab cage into it. Sit in a shade, shelter from the sun, and wait patiently.
Half an hour later, the crab cage was collected, and there was a crab in it. For the first time, I didn't know how to take the crab, I reached into the cage to catch the crab, and the crab couldn't take it out of the cage, and it was clipped. Later, the crab cage was turned over, and after a few more shakes, the crab came out and was caught in a plastic bag underneath.
Where to put the crabs when caught? In Hainan fish protection, small buckets have nothing, put a little seawater in the disposable lunch box containing chicken bones, poke a few holes in the lid, and put crabs in the lunch box.
Next, crab cages were placed in different positions three times, and both times there were crabs, which were pike crabs.
At nearly 7 o'clock, the soldiers went home. At this time, it was raining again, and the climate in Sanya was really capricious.
On the way back, I went to the fishing tackle shop, bought small buckets, frozen shrimp, fish drifts, fish hooks and other items, ready to clean up the small sea rod and go fishing on Phoenix Island next time.
