The East China Sea as the main source of China's seafood, fishing has been open for a period of time, it is said that today Zhejiang Xiangshan fishermen ushered in a bumper harvest of seafood, a large number of seafood on the shore, so is the price of seafood cheap? On this trip, I came to Xiangshan, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, and made a special trip to the seafood market to see what the price was there.

Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is located on the coast of the East China Sea in China, with rich marine resources and an important marine fishery production area in Zhejiang Province. In order to explore the price of seafood this autumn and winter, I came to the Xiangshan Central Vegetable Market in Dancheng, which is the largest farmers' market in the whole of Xiangshan, and the largest area is the seafood trading market in front of me.
Walking into the market, the feeling I feel can be described as shock. This huge market, spacious, bright and tidy, the goods of each stall are well arranged, and there is no debris or discarded garbage on the ground, giving customers an excellent shopping environment.
Here, you can buy almost all the seafood products on the surface of Xiangshan City, including all kinds of fish, shrimp, crabs and shellfish. I took a cursory look at the stalls selling pike crabs, and the quality of crabs is also uneven. For example, the barracuda crab on this stall is really a fine product, not only is it very large, the crab is full of body, and each one has a full red paste.
The boss and a few helpers are busy tying up these live crabs, and maybe a friend will ask why they are tied up? After inquiring, I learned that these crabs will be used to make Xiangshan specialty salted crab. As for the price is also too high to be frightening, asked a few basically in 120-130 yuan per kilogram, which is far from the price of 30-40 yuan a kilogram of pike crabs that we usually buy on the vegetable market.
But the same is the pike crab, although this one in my hand is super large, more than 30 centimeters, its price is much cheaper, only 70 yuan a pound, where is the difference? In addition, I also saw cheaper barracuda crabs in other stalls, the price is only a dozen yuan a pound, but some lack of arms and legs.
With the exception of crabs, most of the rest of the stalls sell fish. The main marine fish in Xiangshan are large yellow croaker, small yellow croaker, striped fish, pomfret, rice fish, plum fish and so on. Among them, wild yellow croaker is the most precious, especially wild yellow croaker, the larger the more valuable, basically about 2,000 yuan a catty. According to the stall owner, these yellow fish are wild, and the price is 200 yuan a catty.
Pomfret is the main economic fish in the East China Sea, and there are also large and small pomfrets in Xiangshan, generally the larger the size, the more valuable it is. These pomfrets look very fresh in front of you, each weighs about half a catty, and the price needs to be 130 yuan a catty. It is said that today the price is already cheap, and last year it was much more expensive, is it so?
This kind of fish stall owner said that it is a small eye with fish, but also the best fish in Xiangshan, the size is very large, it looks quite fresh, but the price does not seem to be too expensive, about 65 yuan a pound. Other stalls have a smaller head, slightly worse quality with fish, the price is only about 20 yuan a catty. Overall, the price of bringing fish is the most popular.
In addition to wild fish, there are also fish for sale, mainly based on large yellow croaker, looking at this sale is really quite good, the color is golden and bright, a question the price seems to be not expensive, only 35 yuan a catty. Is such a big yellow croaker good? Why is it so cheap.
There are also a small number of other fish on the market, such as mackerel, peeling fish, knife fish, sharks, pedal fish, moray eels and so on. In addition to the slightly higher price of knife fish, at more than 100 yuan per kilogram, the rest of the price is not expensive, but those fish are not small, do not know how to taste?
Compared with fish, the type of shrimp is not too much, selling slightly better is this larger shrimp, larger than my palm, of course, its price is not cheap, basically around 80-90 yuan a pound. I think this price is OK, last year when I bought more than 100 yuan per kilogram.
Snails are also one of the important characteristics of Xiangshan, and various shells such as mussels, clams, mud snails, incense snails, spicy snails, conchs, and nail snails are placed on the counter. The price is also not expensive, to Xiangshan's most famous Yushan Island mussels as an example, half a palm size of mussels is only 7 yuan a pound, this price is cheaper than I bought last year, I remember last year to about 10 yuan. In addition to the above seafood, there are many varieties and prices on the market, and friends who need to go around can go around and see, and can definitely find seafood that makes you satisfied.
