近日，广东省教育厅公布了“2020年广东大学生年度人物”评选活动结果。其中，岭南师范学院2018级生物科学（师范）专业的王婉儿榜上有名，该生是岭师首位获得该项荣誉的学生。

2017年9月，王婉儿携笔从戎，毅然投身于国防事业，成为一名人民海军。在中华人民共和国成立70周年之际，王婉儿凭借着过硬的军事素质，作为女兵方队的一员参与执行了国庆70周年阅兵任务，因表现突出先后获得“优秀义务兵”“训练标兵”“新闻工作先进个人”及两次个人嘉奖。

退役复学后，王婉儿以实际行动发挥着模范带头作用，多次担任党课培训嘉宾，积极投身国防动员活动，被聘为湛江市赤坎区“征兵宣传大使”。2020年初，新冠疫情暴发，武汉告急，王婉儿尽己所能，冲锋在前，第一个发起支部捐款倡议，第一个投身志愿服务，在疫情之际荣获“广东省优秀共青团员”。
