Meng Haoran, who has been living in seclusion in Xiangyang, Hubei Province, is not far away from Li Bai, who lives in Anlu, and the two often travel together to play in the mountains and rivers, and drink and write poems. In Li Bai's eyes, Meng Haoran is a character like Tao Yuanming who enjoys himself between the mountains and rivers, so Li Bai came up in the poem "Gift to Meng Haoran" and said: "I love Meng Fuzi, and the world is smelled." The red face abandons the crown, and the white head lies in the pine cloud. At this time, Meng Haoran was just over forty years old, and was called "Meng Fuzi" by Li Bai, both out of respect and a joke, and the meaning of ease was all between the lines; of course, Meng Haoran hated this talent who was twelve years younger than himself, and he invited Li Bai to live in his home in Xiangyang for more than ten days, and every day was a drink and a drunkenness.
On this day, when Li Bai heard that Meng Haoran was going to travel to Guangling (present-day Yangzhou, Jiangsu), he asked someone to bring a letter and asked Meng Haoran to meet in Jiangxia (present-day Wuchang District, Wuhan).
