On October 28, Chen Mingren's grandsons Chen Xiangsheng and Chen Jingsheng went to the Jinji Luyu Revolution Memorial Garden to pay respects to General Zuo Quan. Yang Junling, secretary of the party committee of the martyrs' cemetery, Wang Handansheng, deputy director of the martyrs' cemetery, and relevant staff members accompanied the whole process.

In front of the tomb of General Zuo Quan, everyone stood solemnly, observed a moment of silence, bowed, and paid high respect and deep remembrance to General Zuo Quan, the highest general of the Eighth Route Army who died during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. Subsequently, the docent led everyone to visit the Zuo Quan General Memorial Hall and the Martyrs' Memorial Hall to learn more about the heroic deeds of General Zuo Quan, Li Qingyun, Chai Hongru, Ye Chenghuan and other heroic martyrs buried in our garden.

When visiting the Zuo Quan Memorial Hall, Chen Xiangsheng and his party stopped in front of the exhibition board showing "146 students of Zuo Quan Tong Wu Wu School, including Chen Qike and Chen Mingren, who transferred to the Whampoa Military Academy and were incorporated into the sixth team of the first phase to study", and shared with everyone the same window friendship and touching story between his grandfather Chen Mingren and General Zuo Quan.

Chen Mingren Profile:

Chen Mingren (1903-1974), a native of Hongyuan Village, Hongyuan Township, Liling City, Hunan Province (now Hongyuan Village, Nanqiao Town). He graduated from the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy in 1924. During his revolutionary career, he successively served as brigade commander of major generals, lieutenant generals, division commanders, army commanders, corps commanders, and acting chairman of the Hunan Provincial Government of the National Revolutionary Army. On August 4, 1949, he led the troops to revolt in Changsha, and later served as the commander of the 21st Corps, the chairman of the Provisional Government of Hunan Province, the deputy commander of the Hunan Provincial Military District, and the commander of the 55th Army. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of general of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He died in Beijing on May 21, 1974.
