Xiao Yi is the daughter of Xiao Yuanding, the president of Xiangya Hospital, who has been busy with work, and is still unmarried in his early 30s, and Chen Mingren at that time was only a dozen years older than Xiao Yi, Xie Fangru felt that the two were very suitable together.
In April 1951, Xie Fangru was terminally ill and died, so he entrusted Chen Mingren to Xiao Yi.
Soon Xie Fangru died of illness, and Chen Mingren, who had lost his wife who had accompanied him for 36 years, was an old man in tears, kneeling on his knees and reciting a eulogy.
