In the past five years, The Yuhu District has achieved outstanding results in poverty alleviation, and has been rated as "good" in the provincial assessment for two consecutive years; pollution prevention and control has been strictly controlled, and the results of air, water and soil treatment have been remarkable; 461 reform items have been steadily paced, institutional reform, zoning adjustment, village removal and housing and other reform tasks have been fully completed, and social assistance and comprehensive medical reform experience have been listed in the list of excellent cases in the province.

The Yuhu Industrial Concentration Zone was upgraded to a provincial-level high-tech zone, and the comprehensive ranking of industrial parks in the province jumped from 103 to 31. The region's GDP, industrial added value above designated size, fixed asset investment, total retail sales of social consumer goods, and general public budget revenue increased by an average annual rate of 7.6%, 7.4%, 10.6%, 7.9%, and 2.3% respectively. People's livelihood is the foothold of development, Yuhu District insists on transforming development dividends into people's livelihood benefits, nearly 80% of the financial expenditure is invested in the field of people's livelihood, and 223 practical things for people's livelihood are done.

In the next five years, Yuhu District will closely follow the requirements of high-quality development, adhere to the general tone of seeking progress in stability, implement the strategy of "three highs and four new", comprehensively promote the construction of "six Xiangtan" and "four districts and one place", deepen the implementation of the puncture operation strategy, and strive to build a modern new rain lake with the beautiful vision of "millennium rain lake and vibrant area".
