Therefore, Xu Xilin established the "Datong Normal School" in DongpuTang, which opened courses such as Chinese, English, Japanese, history, physical chemistry, physical and chemical, physical and chemical, physical education, and military gymnastics, and each period was six months, and the graduation diploma was issued by the Shaoxing government. On the back of the diploma, a code was written as evidence for a future uprising. In this way, the Datong Normal School became the foothold and training center of the local associations and parties, and also became the command center of the Guangfu Association in Zhejiang.
When the academy was set up, Xu Xilin had a bolder idea, and when he saw that there were many well-off people among the comrades, he agreed to encourage the rich to donate money and officials to infiltrate the Qing government's army.
The so-called donation of officials, is to buy officials to sit, in the last years of the Qing Dynasty, this phenomenon is particularly common, in the feudal dynasty, the official position is very tempting, although the whole world is the imperial land, but the "heavenly emperor is far away", if there is an official and a half-position, even if the end of the real power, can also run rampant. Some people buy official positions for the sake of "honoring the ancestors of the Emperor", some people do it for the sake of being a blessing in disguise, and some people simply abuse their power to accumulate wealth.
But who would have thought that someone would buy an official in order to overthrow the entire dynasty.

Just as the anti-Qing armed uprising was in full swing, the Guangfu in Shanghai would be seized by the Qing court, and one member defected after being arrested, confessing some aliases and codes of the revolutionaries in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and saying that someone had entered the Anqing official field.
Xu Xilin's nickname "Guang Hanzi" is listed among them. Duan Fang, the governor of Liangjiang, ordered Anhui Governor Enming to investigate.
However, almost no one thought of Xu Xilin, and Enming was particularly reassured about him.
It is also said that a person who spends silver to buy officials is nothing more than trying to get some silver, so why should he make a revolution and cut off the financial road.
In Enming's view, there was nothing wrong with Xu Xilin except that he was young and vigorous.
No one thought that a person who spends silver to buy officials does not seek wealth, does not seek glory and wealth, but for more illusory ideals!

From the beginning to the end, only 7 hours, Xu Xilin expected the ending, but did not expect everything to come so quickly.
Since ancient times, those in power have never been merciful to those who rebel, and they are always the great sins of the Nine Tribes.
During the interrogation, Xu Xilin reversed the image of being weak and tied his hands, still striding forward, he saw the interrogator smile and nodded and asked: Is the Grand Marshal (Enming) safe?
The people on the stage scolded: How kindly did Lord Enming treat you, and why did you take revenge?

In order to quickly calm the situation and stabilize the hearts of the southern army, the Qing government ordered Xu Xilin to be executed as soon as possible.
