Forest eagle owl (scientific name: Bubo nipalensis) is a species of the Owl family, a large owl with a body length of about 63 cm. It is similar in appearance to the eagle owl, but is small in size, and the ear tufts on the head are prominent, black and white. Due to its extremely rare number, it has been listed in the N-class list of endangered birds in the world and the list of wild animals under national key protection in China, and belongs to the Chinese national second-level protected birds, which is a single species and has no subspecies.
