Lin Eagle is a medium-sized bird of prey, with a body length of 67 cm to 81 cm, wings spread up to 1.8 m, a weight of 1 kg to 1.6 kg, and a black brown body. Never far from the forest, it is a bird of prey that completely uses the forest as its habitat.
Forest eagles are highly skilled in flying, like to hover and glide over the forest, can fly and hunt prey at high speed in dense forests, forest eagles stand quietly on cliff rocks or tall trees in open areas when hunting, when there is prey, suddenly rush down to pounce on the prey; sometimes hovering high in the air to find prey; sometimes flying along the edge of the forest to hunt; sometimes quickly and agilely flapping their wings, tracking the prey flying and hunting.
Forest eagles feed mainly on rodents, snakes, pheasants, frogs, lizards, birds and eggs, and large insects.
The breeding period of forest eagles is from November to March, and the nest is in dense evergreen broad-leaved forests or deciduous broad-leaved forests, mostly in the upper parts of tall trees. 1 egg is laid per clutch and the female incubates.
