In Dongshan, the origin of Biluo Spring Tea in Wuzhong Dongting Mountain, Suzhou, tea farmer Yang Rongqin began to pick tea in the mountains before dawn. Affected by the epidemic, this year's tea pickers are all local villagers. Despite the shortage of manpower, one bud and one heart is still the strict selection standard for tea farmers. These days, the rain has increased, and the tea farmers are even busier.
Yang Rongqin, a tea farmer in Suzhou Wuzhong Dongting Mountain Biluo Spring Tea, said: "I went to pick it in the early morning, and the peak time was about six or seven pounds. A core is picked when picking, and the smaller the harvest, the better it is to pick. ”
Since the beginning of spring this year, the temperature in the Biluo Spring Tea Production Area of Dongting Mountain is generally higher, the rain is abundant, the sunshine is sufficient, and the output is expected to increase by about 10% compared with last year, and the quality is also better than last year.
Ye Guoping, secretary general of Suzhou Wuzhong Dongting Mountain Biluo Spring Tea Association, said: "Such a warm and humidity condition has created our Dongting Mountain Biluo Spring Tea, and the growth of the whole spring this year is relatively good." Judging from the monitoring of the germination situation, there are a small number of Dongting Mountain Biluochun mining around March 10, and there may be a small batch of Dongting Mountain Biluochun listed around March 16. ”
In the eyes of tea farmers, the unique quality of Dongting Mountain Biluo Spring Tea comes from the unique tea-fruit compound planting environment on the one hand, and its unique stir-frying method on the other hand. Killing, stir-frying, kneading, drying, these processes must be in the same pot in one go. Each step requires a different temperature, up to around 200 ° C, all of which is perceived by a pair of skillful hands of the tea maker.
Yang Rongqin said: "The time is about three quarters of an hour. When it comes out of the pot, it has to slowly fry the hairy head of the tea leaves, and it will slowly come out of the hairy head and dry. The water quality is translucent and slightly sweet. ”
In recent years, the annual output of Biluo spring tea in Dongting Mountain in Suzhou is about 100 tons, but the market is still in short supply. It is estimated that the average price of biluo spring tea production area in special first-class Dongting Mountain this year is more than 6800 yuan per 500 grams. Carefully stir-fried by the tea master, the best Dongting Mountain Biluo Spring Tea made of tea buds aged more than 100 years is selected, and its price can reach about 20,000 yuan per 500 grams.
