In 1898 A.D., the age was in Penta.
In the same year, the Hundred Days Restoration, the six gentlemen went to the disaster, and Kang Youwei, the main advocate of the change of law, Liang Qichao's master and apprentice, was lucky to escape the disaster.
It is said that in the early morning of the fifth day of August, Kang Youwei took a train from Yongdingmen in the capital to Tianjin, and someone saw Kang saying goodbye to friends in a restaurant in Tianjin, and then went to Shanghai through Yantai, which showed that Kang did not feel dangerous at that time.
It was on this day that Cixi decided to train the government again, and on the sixth day of August, Cixi issued the first order, that is, to arrest Kang Youwei, and the infantry commander Yamen immediately went to Kang Youwei's residence in Beijing, Nanhaiguan, and when he did not see Kang Youwei, he arrested two of Kang's disciples and three servants, but did not see Kang's sixth brother Kang Guangren, who knew that Kang Guangren had offended the landlord, and the landlord immediately denounced Kang Guangren as going to the toilet and arrested him.
Don't offend the landlord!
Although Kang Youwei was not captured, Rong Lu had already learned of Kang Youwei's route to the south, and immediately sent a telegram to Li Xijie of Deng Lai Qingdao (Qingdao, Laizhou, Dengzhou) and Cai Jun of Shanghai Dao, demanding that Kang Youwei be searched and arrested, and sent the fast-moving "Flying Eagle" warship to chase him.

Li Xijie was supposed to work in Yantai, but at this time he just went to Qingdao to negotiate with the Germans on matters such as the demarcation of Qingdao and the opening of customs, and when he saw the telegram, Kang Youwei had left Yantai in early August, and all this Kang Youwei did not know, and he was still walking leisurely on the streets of Yantai and collecting shells on the beach.
Cai Jun of Shanghai Province received the telegram in a timely manner and was well prepared, and in the first eight days of August, he telegraphed with Beijing three times to introduce his detailed deployment. Cai Jun also called for the British and asked to search all the British ships coming from Yantai, and in order to identify Kang Youwei, Cai Jun gave the British a photo.
Kang Youwei is like
It's really well prepared, but maybe it's enough to draw a snake.
The British had a good feeling for Kang Youwei, so they launched a rescue operation, if the ship arrived ashore and then rescued it would be too late, so the British rushed to Wusongkou in early August nine in advance to wait, stopped Kang Youwei's boat, and took out the photo given to them by Cai Jun to recognize Kang, at this time, Kang knew that Grandma's, the Qing government wanted me for three days.
Kang Youwei hastily wrote a letter to his family and disciples on the ship, and transferred it to the British ship "Pa Li Rui". On the tenth day of August, British Consul Banderry came to see Kang Youwei and brought Kang's luggage on Yantai's ship--- six baskets of Yantai fruits and two baskets of finely broken objects. Mr. Kang is really emotional, picking up shells and buying fruits, while his comrades and brother are still suffering in prison.
Speaking of those in the cell, there is not much information left, Wang Jingwei later squatted in the Qing Dynasty Punishment Department prison, listening to an old jailer Liu Yiming said a paragraph, true or false, but very interesting:
Tan Si agreed to be angry, all day long in the cell, picking up cinder on the ground and writing poems on the wall, but unfortunately Liu Yiming could not read, otherwise he would definitely stay to this day more than "Looking at the Door to Stop Thinking Zhang Jian", you can compile a "Tan Si Tong Prison Collection";
Lin Xumei is like a virgin, always smiling in prison;
Kang Guangren hit his head against the wall, and lost his voice in pain: Oh my God! The brother's business, the brother to bear. When Lin Xu heard this, he almost laughed and lost his breath. Sure enough, the surname Lin, this posture, is not Lin Daiyu reincarnated?
The Six Gentlemen of WuShu
After summoning the prisoners to be brought to prison, Kang Guangren finished speaking, I want to kill the head, I don't want to die. Liu Guangdi had been in the Punishment Department, knew the allusions, and comforted Xiao Liuzi that this was an arraignment rather than a beheading. But after the six people came out, they were led out of the West Point Gate, Liu Guang did not look right at first, and when he went to the vegetable market to go through this door, he scolded: Kill the head without trial, how dim-witted.
It was said that Prince Yili of Qing had intended to save Yang Rui and Liu Guangdi, but Cixi ordered that he be executed without trial, and he could not do anything about it. The direct execution of officials without trial was the only time in the history of the Qing Dynasty.
Then he said that Kang Youwei waited for two days on the British ship, waiting for the cruiser "Bana Wenqi" to be transferred from Weihai to escort Kang out of Wusongkou in the early morning of August 12 and heading for Hong Kong. Accompanied by the Secretary of the British Legation Chinese Ge Zhi throughout the journey, he talked with Kang Youwei many times along the way, and came to a conclusion: Kang Youwei was really a poor person---- a fanatic and a dreamer.
At 11 p.m. on August 14 (I actually walked for nearly three days, which was really slow at the time), Kang Youwei arrived in Hong Kong, and for safety, he stayed at the Central Road Police Station, strictly protected by the British, compared to Sun Wen in the October siege, Mr. Kang was so happy. Before that, Kang Youwei's family in Guangdong had already arrived in Hong Kong. A week later, Kang Youwei went to Japan with his family.

Talking about the Liang Qichao line, on the afternoon of the sixth day of August, Liang Qichao rushed to the Japanese legation to seek protection, stayed for one night, cut off his braids, changed into European clothes, Liang Qichao told the Japanese, it doesn't matter if I die or not, Tan Si also went in, and I also went to prison to turn myself in. There are only two things, you want to save my emperor, and my master Mr. Kang. Ito Hirobumi said that this boy cannot die, this is the soul of China, and we Japanese people have saved him. Liang Qichao was transferred to the Tianjin Consulate.
On the tenth day of August, kang youwei had been at sea at Wusongkou for a day, but the Qing government had news that the Tianjin consulate was hiding Kang Youwei and asked the Japanese consulate for extradition, presumably mistaking Liang Qichao for Kang Youwei. Since Tianjin was not safe, The Tianjin consul Zheng Yongchang escorted Liang Qichao from Zizhulin on a Chinese ship to Dagukou.
On the road, it was very windy.
At nine o'clock in the evening, shortly after the ship departed, the Beiyang Minister's small steamboat "Fast Horse" was tracked down, and at about two o'clock in the morning it caught up with Zheng Yongchang and Liang Qichao's boat near the Xinhe River, and Zheng said that the ship was not fucking Kang Youwei, Kang Youwei was in Shanghai, the soldiers on the "Fast Horse" did not care, Kang Youwei's reward was two thousand oceans, so he got on the ship to search for people, recognized a boat of people, and the soldier pointed to a Japanese student in his twenties and said, This is The Qin criminal Kang Youwei. What a disgrace to the Chinese soldiers.
Since "Kang Youwei" was captured, the soldiers used a rope to tie Liang's boat to the "Fast Horse" and forcibly dragged it back to Tianjin. After dragging for more than three hundred meters, Zheng Yongchang protested, the two sides debated, and saliva flew for more than two hours (Zhen Siwen, really patient), and the two sides reached an agreement, and the soldiers on the "Fast Horse" got on Zheng Yongchang's boat and went to Tanggu together, and then continued to debate in Tanggu, and the "Fast Horse" rushed back to the report alone.
At seven o'clock in the morning, seeing that it was almost to Tanggu, Zheng Yongchang saw the Japanese warship "Oshima" and immediately waved his hat wildly, and the Qing soldiers immediately decided to flee when they saw it was not good. Zheng Yongchang said, buddy don't go, it's almost Tanggu, we still have to continue to tear it up. The soldiers said that there was no need for negotiations with his grandmother, and fled in a hurry.

Liang Qichao transferred to the Japanese warship Oshima before he was safe. However, upon receiving the report of the "Fast Horse", Rong Lu, the governor directly under the direct subordination, immediately sent Yuan Shikai to send troops to demand that the Japanese hand over "Kang Youwei" so that the Japanese would not urinate on them. It is said that Yuan Shikai knew that Kang Youwei was already in Hong Kong at this time, but he was not sure who was on the ship, and he did not know that it was Liang Qichao a few days later.
Despite this, the original plan for Liang Qichao to go to Japan by merchant ship could not succeed, and for the sake of safety, Tianjin sent a telegram to Japan, requiring the "Big Island" to carry Liang Qichao back to China and get the approval of the Japanese government. Liang Qichao only then arrived in Japan.
Kang Youwei left Beijing on the fifth day of August and went to Hong Kong on August 14 to escape from danger. Liang Qichao ran to the Japanese consulate on the sixth day of August, and was escorted to Japan by Japanese warships on August 17. And on August 13, the six gentlemen of Wu Shu had already beheaded at the mouth of the vegetable market.
