
Song Gongzong Zhao Xian
Song Gongzong Zhao (2 November 1271 – 31 May 1323), a native of Qiantang County, Lin'an Province (present-day Hangzhou, Zhejiang), second son of Emperor Duzong of Song, brother of Emperor Duanzong of Song, brother of Emperor Zhao of the late Song Dynasty, and brother of Emperor Zhao of the Late Song Dynasty, was the sixteenth emperor of the Song Dynasty (9 july 1274 – 5 february 1276).
In the seventh year of Xianchun (1271), he was born in the imperial palace of Lin'an Province. In the ninth year of Xianchun (1273), he was awarded the title of General of the Left Guard and was given the title of Duke of Jiaguo. In the tenth year of Xianchun (1274), that is, the emperor's throne, the following year changed to Yuan Deyou, by Empress Xie Linchao, Jia Xiangdao controlled the imperial government, at this time the Yuan army launched a general attack on the Southern Song Dynasty. In the second year of Deyou (1276), the Yuan army arrived in Lin'an, and Zhao Yu abdicated the throne and demoted yuan, and demoted kaifu Yi tongsansi and yingguo dukes. In the 25th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1288), he was sent by Kublai Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty, to Tibet (present-day Tibet) to study Tibetan and Buddhist scriptures, and later became a monk to engage in buddhist scripture research and translation. In the third year of his reign (1323), he was killed by Emperor Yuan Yingzong for violating the literal prison at the age of 52. Zhang Shijie and others were honored with the honorific title of Emperor Xiaogong Yisheng.
