On September 10, 2017, a vendor set up a stall at the Fengjiatun Farmers' Market in Jilin City to sell thimbles. Thimbles, also known as top truths, are sewing products commonly used by Chinese folk in the old days, generally made of iron or copper. Hoop-shaped, covered with small pits, is generally put on the middle finger to use the thimble tail to avoid hurting the hand, and can be used to push the needle tail to make the finger more easily powerful and used to penetrate clothing. With the passage of time, hand needles have become less commonly used, and small tools such as thimbles are less common.
