In the first three quarters, Foshan's foreign trade import and export value was 475.7 billion yuan, and the growth rate ranked first in the province for six consecutive months

The reporter learned from Foshan Customs today that according to customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2021, the total value of Foshan's foreign trade imports and exports was 475.79 billion yuan, an increase of 37.6% over the same period last year (hereinafter the same). Among them, exports were 392.74 billion yuan, an increase of 40.1%, and Guangdong Province increased by 19.3% in the same period; imports were 83.05 billion yuan, an increase of 27.2%, and Guangdong Province increased by 17.5% in the same period. In the first three quarters, the scale of foreign trade import and export in Foshan continued to remain the fourth in the province, ranking first in the province after Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou, and the import and export growth rate ranked first in the province for 6 consecutive months.

Specifically, in the first three quarters, the import and export of Shunde District of Foshan City was 186.66 billion yuan, an increase of 28.1%, accounting for 39.2% of foshan's overall foreign trade import and export value in the same period; the import and export of Nanhai District was 143 billion yuan, an increase of 39.9%; the import and export of Chancheng District was 100.49 billion yuan, an increase of 60.1%; the import and export of Sanshui District was 26.48 billion yuan, an increase of 28.9%; and the import and export of Gaoming District was 19.16 billion yuan, an increase of 33.4%.

In the first three quarters, Foshan imported and exported 295.12 billion yuan in general trade, an increase of 42.6%, accounting for 62% of Foshan's total foreign trade import and export value in the same period. Among them, exports were 243.87 billion yuan, an increase of 47%,; imports were 51.25 billion yuan, an increase of 24.8%. In the same period, the import and export of processing trade was 82.16 billion yuan, an increase of 26.7%, accounting for 17.3%. In addition, the import and export of private enterprises in Foshan in the first three quarters was 327.2 billion yuan, an increase of 48.6%, accounting for 68.8% of the total import and export value of Foshan's foreign trade in the same period, of which exports were 286.07 billion yuan, an increase of 50.5%, and imports were 41.13 billion yuan, an increase of 36.2%. In the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises was 146.93 billion yuan, an increase of 18.9%, accounting for 30.9%.

In the first three quarters, the export of Foshan's traditional advantageous industries continued to maintain growth, the city's exports of mechanical and electrical products of 214.13 billion yuan, an increase of 38.4%, accounting for 54.5% of Foshan's total foreign trade export value in the same period, of which the export of household appliances was 56.58 billion yuan, an increase of 16.6%, the export of lamps and lanterns was 20.9 billion yuan, an increase of 72.4%; the export of high-tech products was 18.86 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8%. In the same period, exports of labor-intensive products amounted to 99.22 billion yuan, an increase of 39.9%. Among them, the export of furniture, plastic products and clothing increased by 36.5%, 60.6% and 18.8% respectively. In addition, the export of ceramic products was 17.27 billion yuan, an increase of 37.2%.

In addition, in the first three quarters, Foshan's raw material imports maintained growth, imported mechanical and electrical products of 26.28 billion, an increase of 8.7%, of which, auto parts and accessories of 3.8 billion yuan, an increase of 4.8%; imports of high-tech products of 11.49 billion yuan, an increase of 9%. In the same period, imported diamonds amounted to 10.12 billion yuan, an increase of 142.6%, and imported plastics, steel, copper and aluminum 7.11 billion yuan, 3.51 billion yuan, 2.74 billion yuan and 1.81 billion yuan, up 12%, 13.2%, 23% and 8.2% respectively.
