In 2012, the World Health Organization proposed the concept of ultra-preterm infants and ultra-low birth weight infants, ultra-preterm infants are premature babies with a gestational age of less than 28 weeks, and ultra-low birth weight infants refer to premature babies with a birth weight of less than 1000 g. But this concept has not yet been universally accepted in our country.
In some textbooks in China, the definition of preterm infants is that the gestational age is less than 37 weeks and greater than or equal to 28 weeks, and preterm infants with a gestational age of less than 28 weeks are listed as the scope of miscarriage.
For more than 30 years of practicing medicine, Han Yanqing has always had a lingering feeling about the number "26". He received two 26-week-old ultra-premature babies during his career, but neither survived. This time, the hurdle is even tougher because of the twins.

28 weeks is a watershed as a preterm baby and ultra-premature baby, not a random number, but according to the law of development, medically believed that after 28 weeks is a real "little person", and 28 weeks before the baby's various body organs have not yet fully developed.

After receiving the call, Han Yanqing immediately informed the obstetrics department, asking the delivery room to provide appropriate temperature conditions and CPR preparations, she knew that the first hurdles that babies needed to overcome were breathing and keeping warm.
Subsequently, the neonatology department also prepared two of the most advanced incubators at present, in order to minimize the risk of infection, brought two portable incubators to the delivery room to ensure that the baby can enter the neonatal department for treatment as soon as possible after birth.
At 8 p.m., with a faint cry, two super premature babies came into the world.
As Han Yanqing expected, the twin brothers fell into breathing disorders shortly after birth, and Han Yanqing quickly took rescue measures for them, from weighing, doing warm measures, making footboard prints, to getting on ventilators, adding T combinations... All the medical staff in this birth pressed the fast-forward button, and the two babies were quickly transferred to the neonatology department.
He Min, deputy head nurse of the neonatology department, still remembers that when he first saw the twin babies, through their thin cicada-like skin, he saw the transparent jelly-like flesh, a body slightly larger than the palm, the small arm was only as thick as the index finger, and the weight of the two babies was only 980g and 1080g respectively.
He Min told reporters that the parents of the baby have traveled to many hospitals in order to get pregnant, and after two ivistor failures, they finally have twins, and for the hard-won twins, the medical staff gave them a special and cute name "Baby Panda".

Han Yanqing said that unlike the general guidance of medication, due to the immature development of the panda brothers' organs, the cardiopulmonary burden is limited, while maintaining their blood pressure, electrolytes, proteins, etc., but also to ensure that they can grow the body, each time the medication and nutrient solution medical staff even moved out of the computer, according to their weight, urine volume and other parameters to accurately calculate the amount of drug push.

Under the careful care of medical staff, after a total hospitalization of 70 days, the brother grew from 980g to 1910g, and the younger brother reached 2004g, and the "baby pandas" finally ushered in the moment of discharge.
