author:LeoIa

In August of this year (670 BC), Lady Jiang (a daughter of the State of Qi) entered, this is the Duchess of Luzhuang, with the courtesy name of Lamenting Jiang.

Luzhuang public twenty-four years, 36 years old, Shi Li lady, a few pieces of evidence.

First, Lady Junli of the State of Lu, there are many records in the Spring and Autumn Period, before Wen Jiang's death, it is not recorded that the Duke of Lu Zhuang married his wife.

Second, Duke Lu Zhuang took a fancy to Meng Ren, the daughter of the Dang clan, during a visit, and has been following him to the Dang family behind his ass, Meng Ren shut him out of the door, Lu Zhuang Gong promised to make Meng Ren his wife in the future, Meng Ren promised him, and "cut off his arm for the alliance", but this did not stop Lu Zhuang Gong from breaking his word, because he could not be home in this matter. Meng Ren gave birth to a son, not a concubine, which shows that Meng Ren was not made a wife.

Third, Duke Luzhuang may have wanted to make Meng Ren his wife, but his mother Wen Jiang resolutely disagreed, and the mother and son could not unify their views on this matter, so it was not until the death of Wen Jiang in the twenty-first year of Lu Zhuang (673 BC), and Lu Zhuang Duke also realized the importance of political marriage, and began to marry his wife with great fanfare. In the second year of Wen Jiang's death (672 BC), Duke Lu Zhuang personally went to the State of Qi to give a dowry, and another year (671 BC), Duke Lu Zhuang visited the ceremony of the shrine in the State of Qi, of course, he talked about marrying his wife, despite the advice of the doctor, he built a large number of civil engineering projects, the pillars of the ancestral temple were dyed red, and asked skilled craftsmen to carve, that is, to let others know how much they valued. In this year (670 BC), after mourning Jiang arrived in luguo, the wedding celebration was grand, and Lu Zhuang ordered all women in their own family to participate, and they must also give red envelopes, which also caused the dissatisfaction of the doctor's grandchildren, who believed that men could give red envelopes when they met gifts, and women could give a few chestnuts and red dates. The Duke of Luzhuang went beyond the etiquette system to marry Qi's daughter as a lady, and his purpose was nothing more than to hold the thighs of the State of Qi, and in hindsight, the State of Qi did have a good relationship with the State of Lu for a period of time thereafter.
